    Thanks nowpanicking,

I am also going to take a look at the goodbudget app you follow too, I need something that will help me, I don't pay bills persee as I still live at home, but I pay towards the house, and its a significant amount. I also have a phone bill, union fees, petrol and car insurance every month so that all adds up. Union fees have just gone up too, because of a change in role :( so that really sucks!! Ah well I'll just have to get my hair cut less, which is probably a good thing, as I am growing it out anyways!!

So my plans for today, well I still live at home, but we all contribute to the chores in the house. After we de-decked the house of christmas yesterday, we put the living room back in order. If I had enough energy, which I did, I was going to climb the washing mountain, which I am. One load is already dry, so I am folding that as we speak, although this is difficult as my dog is lying on top of it!! Anyways jobs for today:-

    -finish climbing washing mountain
-Iron washing mountain whilst going along
-cancel phone contract (this is an old one)
    -Sort out passport
-finish work (work) in anticipation for Monday
-Maybe go out and buy resources for work (I get money back but it's a struggle)

I will try and make today an NSD so that last job can probably wait till tommorow, which is my last hurrah before being back at work on Monday, I'm going out for lunch, my treat...but then that is the last of it, and saving starts right here (or largely from 15th Jan when I get paid) so I will set up apps to start from then.

Thanks for everyone's help so far, it's been motivating, I am really excited about the next 12 months, the plan is to have majority of deposit by xmas....but small steps, no pressure hey??

    Ahh

Well I've completed half my list. Not done the passport, but I can do that over the weekend and get it posted on Monday during lunchtime.

Also not been out to buy resources (I'm still in my PJ's!) but I can do that tomorrow when I go out for lunch!

I have also done some comping, I search on end dates and go in orser of dates, from those finishing soonest. My aim is to get to the end of the month, so I can be a few days in advance if I can't comp for a few days. If I am off work, I have loads of time, which currently I do, but if I can get myself at least 7 days in advance then, if I don't get time to comp in the week, I can comp at weekends.

Plan for tonight is to chill at bf's with a bottle of wine and a film...I want to do nothing tonight, absolutely nothing, but chill and relax!

Morning all, night of chilling done! Although didn't get to bed till late, which defeats the object of relaxing, however have only just woke up!!

Plan for today is out for lunch, which will be a big spend. I have also figured out that in next months payday I have passport and one of the wedding hotels to pay for, may try bartering a deposit, but I doubt they'll let me so that's 180+ pounds of next months money

On the plus side, I have a backdated pay rise and rebate due...they might come this month...a girl can wish hey.

    Plan for today...lazy morning.
-out for lunch and a mooch this aft
-chill at home with bottle of wine tonight and comp

    Have a great day everyone

It's been ok but I took a look at my bank account, and whilst I am not in my overdraft, it makes for grim reading :(

Still I am now sat feet up at home, I am going to comp the night away with some wine, and hopefully have a lie in tomorrow. I want to cheer myself up and buy new bedding, I'm feeling a bit gutted today and I don't know why. I've spent quality time with bf, and we went out for lunch, but I can't shake off feeling low, and I don't know why. It happens every now and again...I don't know what to do. I'm hoping comping will help.

Hope everyone else has had a good day xx

  • Hey... sorry you're feeling low atm. My hubby gets low phases too and I guess it can be tough when you're feeling low for no apparent reason.

You just have to try and focus on the good things if you can? You've had a good day with your bf... you've got a permanent job... you've got a plan of action for your saving goals etc etc :)

Anyway, hope the wine and the comping helps :) x

Wine and comping definitely helped, and inspired a last minute late night feast!!! Fortunately I didn't pay lol, mum and dad did :D. I think the feeling low is back to work blues, but I'll just have to rip off the plaster...for some bizarre reason I had a work dream that involved being late!! I want to try and get into work early tomorrow so I can print some stuff off, and prepare!! That will leave me very little to do on Tuesday!

I'm sat chilling and watching Hairy Dieters on TV which is inspiring some gorgeous meals, I need to lose a tad of weight, not too much but a little. Feeling motivated, and dad even pulled out the old Hairy Dieters recipe book for a bit more inspiration.

This morning I've had pineapple chunks and bran flakes for breakfast...washed down with a little orange juice and 2 coffees lol!!

I need a bit of advice if anyone can give it, I'm a DW member and I need to cancel my membership but I've been put off by bad cancellations..anyone with experience got any advice...should save me around 30 pounds a month, which will help with saving for multiple weddings lol:rotfl:

    Evening all.

I have had a chilled approach to my last day off, I asked M and D to buy me a book to record all my food in. I weighed myself this morning and I'm a little bit heavier than I'd like to be :(:'(. I have a size 12 bridesmaid dress to fit in, in April so that's my goal!

Today I have tracked my food, walked the dog, comped as much as I can to the 3rd February. I have tiddled up planning for work too, and gathered some bits and pieces to load in my car ( a bit like making sure my bag is ready.) I also organised some files on my pen drive, so I can print them off in the morning.

I am currently on the laptop trying to cancel my phone contract!

Tonight I need to make a list of resources to get ready tomorrow ready for tuesday, and I am going to pamper myself with some lovely stuff my sister bought me for xmas :)

Hope everyone has had a nice day

Ah forgot to add weigh in's as of today will be 12th Jan and subsequently every fortnight. Started me a little signature to add in little totals...but I'm trying not to pressure myself as first advised. Last post before back to work tomorrow. I'll try and get on in the week...if not have a good week everyone, If I don't post I'll be popping on to have a quick read.

  • Good luck with the weigh ins! I've got 7 lbs to lose... by swimming, walking, not drinking alcohol and generally trying to eat healthier :)

Have a great week, hopefully going back won't be too painful!
