The main reason I ask is that I have bought some bits today from the 50% sale to use as favours for my wedding - and seeing as I spent over £100 in the 50% sale, it would have been even better to get 75%! I was too scared to not buy them incase they sold out and we didn't have enough. But on the flip side every penny counts at the moment - quite literally! Thanks for the advice! Xx

Wins : McCains garden games set, 2xTickets to Alton Towers, Links of London friendship bracelet, 2xIdeal Home Show tickets, McFly album CD, Virgin Balloon flight for 2 with a case of ScrumpyJack cider and 2 ltd edition jackets, Powerboat racing experience, £50 Virgin voucher, Aerobie Pro flying ring & Rice Krispie squares, Tesco baby pack

    You'll be fine, no worries.

Just hang on to the receipt. Even if you've opened yours all you need to do is buy it again & take it back with the original receipt at the highest price :rotfl:

I know this is very cheeky, but has anyone tried buying something in the 50% sale then going back in the 75% sale and asking to return/refund and then re-buy? I know it's very cheeky but just wondering if it'd work?

I alway's take stuff back where possible if I find it cheaper in the sales. It all add's up. Bit of a pain but worth it.
Win's of 2014 so far-Maxfactor mascara, £50 Pizza Express Voucher, Dr Oetker Pizza, Nuby sippy cup :j:beer:

would it though? this is in shop-til-you-drop, not grabbit - i rarely look in here unless this thread is showing as the one in the index with the most recent post.

Anyhoo, theres only been one rumour on the grabbit thread, from one MSE'er, no-one pertaining to be a Boots SA has confirmed anything for tomorrow.

Ok, no probs. I thought I read somewhere that it may start early this year. Will have a look tomorrow incase they spring it on us on the off chance.

Edit: Rumours on the grabbit thread that it could start tomorrow as per a boots employee.

i highly doubt (and may eat my words) that anything is 'sprung' by Boots. At the end of the day the idea of the sale is for them to shift surplus stock ready for the new season. So, as a business it makes far more sense to have a fairly steady 'secret' date that is consistent / around a similar time each year, that can be leaked out (nice bit of free PR / Advertising) a few days or week before to ensure people queuing at opening time and act like greedy gannets (I stress, some not all do this), than 'surprise' us all and have no flash mob. It's a bit like the Next Boxing day sales suddenly being moved to Xmas Eve without anyone knowing IYSWIM?

Of course, I could be totally wrong.

I've had items in my online basket for a few days now. For the first couple of days when I went back in I would get a message saying a couple of items out of stock and they would have been removed from my basket, which is fine. However, for the last couple of days, although it shows that there are items in my basket, and will let me add other items to it, when I try to either go to checkout or view the basket I am getting an error message. I would actually like to remove some items from my basket but as it stands I can't do this or buy anything either.

Is anyone else having this problem?
