I have been in two stores in the last few days - Telford Forge Retail Park has tons of everything while Wolverhampton (Bentley Bridge branch) has hardly anything on the shelves!

Same situation around here really; the larger stores have shelves full and are still filling them up whilst the smaller stores have literally nothing, they've probably been more savvy making sure the stock is in the right stores to clear the stock.

Looking forward to 75% day :money:

Working in a Boots flagstore we get the stocks from the smaller stores to sell after Xmas .
So that let's the big stores have sale items and frees space in the smaller stores .

It would just be nice if folk actually stuck to buying what they really 'needed' and didn't just grab anything / everything available to resell on fleabay etc like so many seem to do.

Last year I was lucky and got one of the large S&G sets, at that time there were lots left, by lunchtime there was nothing and I really find it hard to believe that every person who left the store with trolley loads of purchases (and I'm not exaggerating, some folk had several trollies full) had bought everything as future gifts or for themselves (or even for others who couldn't make it to the sale).

Yeah is annoying when they put it on ebay but nothing is going to stop them. We have quite a big family so I always spend between £100-150 in the 75% off for presents throughout the year, I don't even keep anything for myself as I have lots of smellies etc for Christmas
  • I totally agree! I went to the Boots in Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow last January and there was one woman sitting on the floor in the middle of a short aisle with hubby at one end, teen son at the other, and about 40 bags of stuff around her! No way it was all for her! I spent about £40 got a bunch of the £6-£10 smellies reduced and used them all year - they were given as birthday gifts for friends, teachers gifts before the summer holidays, and donated to raffles/tombolas/charity events all year - rather than having to go buy something for a tenner every time! lol
