Shiny New Year, Shiny New Start. The January NSD Challenge

Hi everyone
I would like to join in your challenge please with a target for January of
15 NSDs of which I have achieved 5 so far
I've loved reading the thread and the early posts are very helpful.
I have decided to ignore Direct Debits as what I want to control is unplanned spending rather than budgeted expenditure which is reasonably under control (always checking comparison sites before annual renewals, switching suppliers etc) or difficult to alter (e.g. council tax, TV licence etc).
I am also going to ignore purchases of petrol provided I don't spend anything else at the garage (Pay at Pump where available). I use my car for work so if I need petrol I have to buy it plus I claim some of the cost on expenses. I will also not count anything else such as parking which I can claim back on expenses or EB postage as the buyer has paid.
My downfall is online shopping as I realise I have got into the habit of "just checking" favourite sites and being tempted by special offer emails from sites where I have shopped. So far this month on 3 separate occasions I have shopped and put things in my online basket then left the site to reflect and decided I don't really need any of the things I was planning to buy. So spurred on by this initial early success I am setting myself the target of another 10 NSDs this month.0 -
Evening all,
Just checking in to see how everyone's doing and catch up with the thread. This was a spend day for me - petrol and some food. I needed something for school tomorrow and figured I might as well get the other things I needed at the same time. Hopefully this will lead to a NSD tomorrow
Enjoy the rest of you day!CC1 £5999 Total Debt March 2021 £5999

Welcome to the asylum, flowerofscotland, there's a chair near the fireplace and a welcoming mug of tea with choccie biccies for you. (And don't panic, the rest of you - Igor had nothing to do with making the tea or the biccies, so it is all quite edible and drinkable.) Freebyfifty will add you to the master list on the first page later. Have a look at the multi-coloured guidelines which appear on just about every page, and give it a go!
As for me - a spendy day, in B00t$ the chemists. Bought big pamper goodies kit in vanilty case, 2 perfumes, pair of slippers for OH and bottle of lavender oil. Total cost £79. Normal prices, that is. Price with the sale on - £42. And having gift vouchers for Crimbo to use up, I ended up paying the princely sum of.......£5.86. Now that's what I call a bargain!
Back on the NSD bus tomorrow! One life - your life - live it!0 -

ALMOST got a NSD last week but found an item online which is hard to come by and 'had' to order it
Wed I bought boots which I took back on Thursday. Thursday I bought boots which I took back on Friday. The money that I got back from the coat was then spent on pizzas and other grub in Asda. Does that still count as a spend?!?
Saturday was a shopping day. Sposed to finish off with a 'proper' shop in Tescos, but OH wasn't in the mood so we got a few bits and pieces just, then had to go to Sainsburys yesterday for more stuff. Plus what we're having for dinner tonight we're missing an essential ingredient so that's me away off to Tescos at lunch!!!
Never mind diets, I think I'll just not eat at all for the month of January!!!!!
Now, we will have none of that defeatist talk around here
You will get some more NSDs and they will all come at once because you have done all you bits of spending at once.
Determine that no matter what happens, tomorrow will be a NSDFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
