kerri~Do you not have a change pot?
I have a wee pot I keep for loose change & then use for wee odd purchases to save me loosing a NSD IYSWIM?rising_from_the_ashes wrote: »And thanks to beanielou suggesting it ... I have one too!:D (although I do keep forgetting I have it!) - I put the non-potable coins LO after the weekly spend challenge into it :T (although it's running low as it had to buy a bag of tatties the other day)
I'm hoping it'll stretch to a packet of crumpets tomorrow!:)
I don't have a change pot beanie, we used to - then OH stopped putting anything in it :rotfl: I guess I kind of think of it as a cheat for me, I already exclude Direct debits and other bills, boot camp / pole, milk and petrol - I feel that if I have a 'get out clause' of my change pot I'd still be spending IYKWIM? (Not suggesting that it's wrong for anyone else, I love this challenge as you can tailor it to your own needs / targets). However, it was something OH was saying about at the weekend (even though he doesn't do this challenge) so I might take £10 or so a month from the grocery budget and keep it for milk / bread up the shop (they do the next best rolls to 'well fired rolls' - those in Scotland will know what I mean)
Anyway, sorry for waffling. Looks like meal plan has changed tomorrow - spinach is being made into a quiche which means I need a pastry case (yes, I could make one but I don't have a flan tin and it's the first quiche I've ever made so this is a trial run). Will also get the pittas for Friday dinner and a couple of other 'little' bits that have popped up on my list (OH wants more Bovril - bless his tartan socks :rotfl:). I'm trying to get OH to eat more variety so the quiche is a new milestone for him (it's got green in, normally the only green he goes near is on his football shirt) and then my purse is going firmly in my pocket for Friday :AFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

NSD #2 for me today :T
February GC £26.68/£2500 -
I managed to get NSD 1 yesterday, which was quite easy as it was a bank holiday and everywhere was shut!!
Today was spendy, but I'm on such a tight budget that I'm hoping that I don't have to buy anything more until Monday!Trying to keep in budget.

Id like to join please, Im aiming for 8 NSDs and already have 1 from yesterday. Today I had to book our train tickets for our anniversary break this weekend, and tomorrow I need to go get my poorly DD some medicine. I have put the money aside for that today so 1) I wont be tempted to spend on the really good, but entirely unnecessary, sale items and 2) tomorrow can count as an NSD.0

2nd was not a NSD for me as I brought an app for my phone, it was a spending and debt management one and half price too, I've spent most of the day filling it in, it is very good.

Hi wonderful NSD folk, thanks to everyone for warm thoughts & suggestions, we are both improving again, which is good news.
Freeby:A and BDINI :A love the compact updates, they work really well
Thankfully I've been able to carry on working despite the back trouble, have an amazing supportive boss who lets me make work adjustments to account for my problems and fit in OH's appointments too.
Somehow were are going to get through this, still working on the how bit, but your support is very welcome. Thanks again.
Not an NSD today as didn't really plan to spend, and when I did go didn't buy what I needed, will be a spend tomorrow to get what I was supposed to today, but planning for 3 in row Friday, Sat, Sun. :rotfl:
