    :rotfl:Day 1 of the month, and a spend day:rotfl:

Not feeling bad about it though, as we 'treated' the kids to a McDs on the way back from a friends house (we stayed there overnight for NY) as we don't have one near us since we moved and they've not had one for ages. I'd feel bad if this was one of a string of McDs :)

We also did our weekly shop today as we managed to get home in time to get there before it closed so I don't need to do that tomorrow. That's not classed as a 'spend' though as it was within the allocated grocery budget.

I did note it in my 'spends' diary though - lets hope I stick to this diary - I usually let them fall by the wayside mid way through the year! :o

  • I was so close! I'd got to 8pm without spending money but we had nothing in the house for dinner so I ended up going to McDonalds. Unfortunately DH had no cash on him! Tomorrow is going to be a spend day as well I think so will try very hard for Thursday.

Moral of the story, must plan better!

    Today was NSD # 1 :)
Resisted the temptation to treat myself on my birthday. Instead I sorted 2 rooms in the house, and have a small pile of things to sell, so it's been a production spend free day :D

    Happy New Year all :)
