Hi all
Not had a chance to read the thread since last friday, have I missed anything apart from lots of NSDs?
I've not had time to read through the thread but I've just got time to report 2 more NSDs, Saturday and Monday. Today won't be but tomorrow should be. Providing the car doesn't need any work doing at it's MOT, everything crossed.
so NSD 15 and 2nd target achieved :j:j:j0 -
NO NSD for me yesterday as I had to buy some birthday cards and visited the dentist. I will try really hard for one today, I would love to reach my target of 7 this month, only 3 days to do it in....0

Precisely!!
Not gonna manage a NSD today as we'd no bread left in the house so had to buy lunch. BUT what I did was get egg salad sandwiches from the Pound Shop! Not entirely sure how edible they'll be but sure! It's a one-off and rather that than spend £3-£5 on a sandwich
EDIT:
They were very edibleWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Monday was 26 NSD and I just wanted to share that just because we are living a no spend lifestyle we are still really enjoying ourselves and going out, you just have to work at being a bit creative.
Take this week for example, tonight we are going to see the new film, Flight two tickets at the O2 in Greenwich and it cost nothing.
After cancelling all subscriptions and agreeing to stop purchasing DVD's, we decided to keep our Sky Movie package, we both love films and it is our guilty pleasure to sit in front of the box, in fact it probably works out good value when you think how much we use to spend on Love Film, Cinema Memberships, Netflix and DVD's
The Sky Movie Package also has Sky Go which streams loads of films that were on Netflix and Love film and also Sky Rewards.
Sky Rewards gives two tickets for the cinema for £6 every monday and on top of this you also the opportunity to preview the latest blockbusters at selected cinemas around the uk and they are free, if you can sign up for them.
I've been like a hawk 3 times a day and in the past 2 months we have seen:
Seven Psychopaths
Quartet
Flight (tonight)
Wreck it Ralph (this Saturday, in fact I got 4 tickets so I can take my friend and her son)
There is a free screening at Canary Wharf of 13th Feb for the Breakfast Club.
Now I know not everyone is going to be able to do this but with Orange Wednesdays too, I have managed to get one of our favourite pastimes down to next to nothing, in a lot of aspects nothing at all.
My colleagues at work smile at me when I say I'm having another no spend day, they don't believe me as we are always going out. When I show them the free tickets or passes they are shocked. It actually pays to be frugal- MSE Forum Achievements:
