  • No NSD day for me today. Had to buy food at Aldi, gas & electric on keys. However, by being motivated by this thread daily and being more aware of my spending I have managed to save £110 so far this month. I will use it as an extra payment on the credit card for January :j
I have signed up for the free postcode lottery which I knew nothing about before joining MSE ;) Also today, I received a letter from MBNA to tell me they are considering my claim for PPI on my credit card.
Thanks everyone - you are an inspiration!
  • Hi everyone, yippee Wednesday is over - onto the home straight now, it'll soon be the weekend!

I was so excited by my thistle, I never win prizes!! :-)
Please could I set a new target of 18 NSDs to keep me motivated, don't want to fall off the wagon!

Also need to report today as NSD 16 :-)

    17 NSD for me.
Kids started at school, but home before lunch time, so lost out on the school dinner, been booked and now had to find food at home, luckily bread was stocked up yesturday.
Possibly no school tomorrow if the main road still has snow even if we have none. Most of the staff live out of the town and its the main way into town.
  • Wow I have another NSD today :j:j have exceeded my target now up to 11 NSD's :j:j

    Thanks for the motivation everyone
  • Hi All,:hello:

Haven't been around a lot what with the new job, but just had a chance to catch up. Managed to get the total to 20 NSDs so far this month, but with the cold weather I'm now going to go over budget on the petrol:eek: - it really is a lot less economical to drive in the winter:mad:.

On the positive side, managed to get enough food in Mr W reduced to pennies to last until the end of the month:D

That target is getting closer and WILL be captured.

  • Class BDINI, I love that comment... you are going to be the subject of a hell of a lot of gossip before you get out of there... and good for you!!!:j:j:j:j

You know what, for the first time in a very long while, i don't care... let them gossip away!!
Bdini - only 3 weeks of sweet revenge to go.....now, any ideas for witty replies for Bdini when people comment on her new job?

My favourite smart reply at the moment is "Well, you've either got it or you haven't......" delivered with a suitable preening type of gesture and a ruddy great fat smirk on your face....

How about 'I'm really grateful to all you small minded, bully-boy gossip mongers. If you hadn't made my life such hell last year I wouldn't have got off my !!!! and looked for a new job - and now I'll be in a better position and on more money than I was here' (accompany with suitably 'butter wouldn't melt sickly sweet' expression (think Dolores Umbridge a la Harry Potter)

Ooh i love those, thanks guys, i think i might have to keep a little notebook with all these responses in to make sure i use a different one every day!!

    2 weeks & 2 days to go.... & counting!!
