I am so sorry to hear that you can't share your troubles. I didn't, for a very long while, and it's such a relief now it's shared, particularly as they were run up jointly and for family things.
I do understand though. But do what is best for you emotionally. I do think you have a tendency to be very hard on yourself and if work is struggling to pay the bills then dont hold back - use the savings. As PB says I think you will always try and be frugal so thats a lesson hard learnt and that learning won't ever leave you I am sure.
If I had a way out right now I think I would use it..but a DFD of the end of this year or early next is looking good right now and the bit of 'hair shirt' behaviour is teaching me lots of good things! I am not sure I would have changed anything over the last 4.5 months since the LBM came again and stayed on ..:D
Hi brizzle and thank you again for the encouragement and supportOf course i would still like to have the well paid job (redundancy from that caused debt as noted above) BUT i am also so very glad of the lessons i have learned re. cutting back to what is needed, using / mending / re-using things we have, not spending unnecessarily or without really thinking  Although i have been known to have 1 or 2 splurges
Debt free target date for me is also end of the year although as i mentioned i am a few hundred short on that at the moment. We will see where the bank balance lies on payday before i update my sig and then the real last push will begin. If there are no other unexpected bills and i don't spend a single penny out of place and the little extras i'm hopeful of (shaving £5 off shopping etc.) IF all that works out i'd hope to get enough together from selling stuff on the bay of e to make target.
We can cheer each other on and celebrate a debt free new year - that would be lovelyCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
It was absolutely lovely to come home and read all of the lovely messages on here - thank you so much
Especially as i had a particularly pants day at work  Really need to get a new job!! Got an application i need to try and do tomorrow - bit put off by the short contract on it though so need to think that through a bit - as previously mentioned i'd need to pay all my bills income or not...
In an attempt to motivate myself i've been doing bursts of studying broken up with bursts of decluttering - i have got rid of quite a bit of stuff - binning useless items, getting a small, low value, collection of bayable items together - but it all helps  and generally making things easier here - can now open my bottom drawer without a fight :T It is surprising how i can part with more and more these days - have got rid of some largish low value items to the carboot pile and the place where they had been are now looking a bit bare  Still if they are not useful or are not loved / beautiful then they have to go - sure i'll get used to it although its less space and more bare at the moment if that makes sense? This is of course only in small areas - like the top of bedside cabinet etc.
Got quite a few small storage items done so that is good - of course it still leaves the biggie of the wardrobe to tackle again  It will get doneCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

Urgh! I am having a completely bleurgh! filled day today - just turned comp off but then thought i'd come on here in an effort to try and motivate myself.
Bleurgh because i am overweight- I *will* start exercising again this week AND each week / 2 weeks i will introduce a new good habit - so next weeks nice and easy one is to drink 2 litres of water per day
Bleurgh because this house is not how i want it to be or what i want to be my forever home- Positives here are that I have a mortgage  On the bright side this - as with my current income i would not get a mortgage and i won't say how much my income x is to the mortgage but it is :eek::eek: - I *am* consistently overpaying the mortgage each month - this overpayment will increase when my debt is gone giving me more equity, better lending choices (can't remortgage with my income and ltv) and a chance to decide what the next move will be
In the meanwhile i need to make this house the best it can be - decluttering has been cranked up and i will do 1 extra cleaning task each week This week *will* be the utility window including frames etc scrubbed clean and then window cleaned too
Bleurgh because i don't like my job - i *will* apply for the vacancy i have seen and i *will* look for a new job each week
Bleurgh because i have a couple of small courses i need to find time to finish - i *will* complete 1 module each week and make the time to do this
Bleurgh because i am struggling with my ou course - i *will* push myself on this assignment, focus as much as i can on the course and after this assignment (as just no time now to read it) contact tutor for additional reading
Bleurgh because of the debt - i am decluttering to try and sell stuff to get the funds in - also need to have a chat with my mr about something else which may free up some pennies
Bleurgh because i feel i am in a rut and i need to break out of it- all of the above should help

I am going for bite size pieces of study followed by a declutter and a quick pop on here
I have decluttered at least 15 items from my wardrobe today - hopefully all ebayable - hoping for a flw AND bidders - had a few items end today with multiple watchers on each - and only 1 sold for a little over the 99p start price - it had 12 watchers!!
Also got a few carbooty bits together as well as too big / not suitable for bay of e. So a good few bits to leave the house too.
Must put some sort of schedule together - thinking sunday for my [STRIKE]plod[/STRIKE] runand satday for 1 module  - Someone nudge me on this please - I will feel better for doing it and the studying should help on the job front
has anyone seen chocs around - i have missed her posts for a while now - if you are reading and not posting hope you're ok chocs xxCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

Urgh! comp crashed an i lost a post ok -
In an attempt to pull my socks up a bit and get on with things I've prepped 35 items to list on the next FLW - not the most difficult item - not sure if thats because once i've lifted it out its nowhere to go so just going to list it on the day or if i'm being a bit procrastinatey - see next point
I've checked where i'm up to on 2 of 3 courses - 3rd ones easy (barely started)
Easy course 1, and assessed as complete each module - less than 2 modules to go
Hard course 2, 7 modules to go and just 1 final assessment over the whole 35 modules
Super massively difficult course barely started
So i think i'll complete them in the order i've listed them in - a module or 2 hours a week whichever is greater  Easy one because it is an easy win, it'll get it out of the way so i've less cluttering up my mind and then onto 2 and then 3. Any views if i should tackle this differently let me know
Put in an application for a job - not my best application as its one of those forms that take about 2 hours at least and i was pushed for time to submit by the deadline BUT - big plus is i've got all the easy but time consuming bits of the form completed - next time there's a vacancy i can just focus on the 'how i meet the criteria bit'
And so it jumps out Work on this bit each week to get good paragraphs together
can anyone else tell i've lost my diary ?
And i've been drinking quite a bit of water tooCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000
