  • Aw thanks guys :D I pushed myself and got to the end of the course reading thing that i needed to do :T and i started my new book which i lurve :smileyhea i also watched a film last night just for a bit of a switching off time as it were.

I've had a cuppa :coffee: and i might make brekkie in a bit... I've read a bit more of my book and have photographed the 4 bay of e items so hope to get them set up ready to list and i also hope to find some more items later ;)

I want to get some more reading done - i'd love to start on my next assignment but am still not sure what to do

I also want to look at those 2 drawers i mentioned the other day - they are storing items in them - items which are needed only on occasion so i need to check whats in there and see if anything can go and make a bit more storage room too :)

i'd love to find another 10 items to declutter ideally - i really want more space and less stuff! And also i'd like the extra cash that decluttering could generate as well ;)

  • Ooh, what are you reading?

I have been reading more this year. I've discovered that whilst our local library appears to have a limited selection when I browse it, they have loads of things in the online catalogue for ordering. I don't know where they store all this stuff! So before I buy on Amazon etc, I now check the catalogue.

I recently saw James Kelman's "Mo said she was quirky" in a book shop and resisted (I didn't resist buying two other books, though), then managed to borrow it from the library. It's not new; it won the Booker prize in 1994. I'm struggling a bit with it, to be honest :o. Maybe I should stick to bookclub recommendations!

  • Hey PB - i've got 8 new items readt to go on next weekend so that'll take me up to 12 for the challenge :T I'll have to do the last 8 next weekend - though i'd like to get rid of alot more than that. Hope you're having a good weekend x

  • Hey Chocs - i hadn't heard of that one. I'm reading Shena Mackay The Orchard on Fire which i can thoroughly recommend :) Yes, i'm upping my reading this year - i'd set myself the challenge of 12 books but apparently i need to read loads more than that! Mind you i do lurve reading its just balancing that time with everything else - especially when i need to try and raise more money the whole time too!

Good that you're using the library - i never go to be honest :o i should but i know i am nowhere near organised enough - to pre-order, to go in at the right time to collect - to return them on time so i don't get a huge fine :o and to actually have the time to go in too. Its something i've been thinking about though so we'll see :)

Glad i got to 8 items going on bay of e this weekend along with 2 items for carboot but i'd have liked to have got rid of at least 6 more things - i'll have to try harder next week - space and money are more important than things

  • I hadn't used the library for years and then popped in and discovered it has all been modernised in terms of systems and customer usage.

I am lucky in that the town library is only 10 mins walk from me and opens some evenings and on Saturdays and Sundays so it is all very convenient. The ordering process and renewal process is all online. It is all good news, except for anyone who is a librarian.

So there is no excuse for me to use it instead of buying books!

I'll keep a note of the name of that book and add it to my list of things to read. I am a slow reader so the list is rapidly accumulating over time :rotfl:

  • Hey Chocs - thats great that your library is so near for you - i'd certainly use mine if it was more convenient but it'd be at least an hours round trip so its not really so straightforward sadly!

  • Well i'm super tired today *yawn* and very hungry too! I'm really going to try and get up super early tomorrow so i can do a proper breakfast :o Hope i manage it :o

    Hope everyone is good ?

I was pleased with parting with 10 things this weekend and would like to get rid of more next weekend too - might help to break up the assignment i need to start so some *positive* vibes would be lovely again - i;ve found it a really hard course and seem to have struggled with every assignment :o

Got a few bids on bay of e stuff which is good - just got to get the packaging sorted out.

Right bedtime for me then i can get up and have a proper and filling brekkie :D
