Seem to be spend, spend, spending at the moment - this decorating lark seems never ending! Books for uni and that child of mine is once again out growing all clothes so more shopping required, hoping to get to end of it all soon and for things to calm down.

Been rejigging budgets in order to cover this month's spends without dipping into savings - think I've got it cracked but means the OPs will be much lower for the next couple of months, can't be helped though and the money hasn't been frittered as I will have a lovely room at the end of it and won't have to look at DS's socks when he's wearing long trousers:o I blame the long summer all that sunshine and eating constantly has just supersized that boy:D

Task for the month - I must declutter my clothes and get some money for the old stuff!

Furniture arrived, due to the time taken to build the bed lots of it is still in boxes... hoping it will be finished this evening as I want my life back! The flat is a mess, I can't concentrate in a mess and I have reading for uni coming out of my ears. Also not very sure where all my clothes are and my choices are a bit limited:o

Hoping for NSD today as I have to nip into uni for an hour then volunteering this afternoon so no spending opportunities:D

So where was I? Well my bedroom looks nice...:o shame about every other room... I'll get there in the end:D

Still lots of reading to do but that's going to be an ongoing thing.

Payday so £50 OP and rest back to savings, decided against the option where I couldn't OP for two months as it made me go a bit twitchy:rotfl::rotfl:

Day off today, spending it tidying - just stopped for tea break. Waiting for a mattress delivery and the car is full of stuff for the tip (recycling mainly). It's amazing how much junk I've hung on to, I never used to be like this and I think it's partly to do with the MSE stuff - keep thinking I shall car boot or sell but never do! Clothes not doing so well for me on eb@y since postage became so expensive. Have many bags for the cash for £ place just hope that's easy to do:o

Sorry for pouncing, but I saw the word mattress!

How did you decide what mattress to get? Where did you get it from? I've got to get a mattress for the first time, and I'm lost!

I bought a silent night from argo$ it's got springs but a layer of memory foam on top, decision was made as LM bought one a few months back from Mr S (they are cheaper in argo$ at the mo) and it's really comfy but still firmish.

£26 at cash 4 clothes but hate to think how much they cost to buy in the first place... off to pay £20 towards mortgage.

Hmm okay. Thank you, I hadn't even realised Argos sells mattresses!
