Sold my Nexus 7...a good idea?

The nexus is quite good, I bought 1 just before xmas and loving it. The fact you have to wait for apps to come onto the play store is of no importance to me, I dont even know what apps are on the app store compared to the play store. Ive tried playing gta on the nexus and its ok but playing fifa I can imagine it would be hard to play as you would need to be quick on the controls unless you are quite quick. The printing issue again its not something I was looking for in the nexus but then ive got a desktop for any printing I want to do.
Can I just ask what did you expect or wnat from a tablet cosing les than £200 ?0 -
If using it for shopping then get "Out of Milk" - its an excellent shopping app and you can enter details of stuff on the PC and sync to the tablet.
I'm being really sad and have a cycle handlebar bracket on order so that I can stick it on the trolley handle (it fell off last time I balanced it on something) for when shopping.
I think the OP is going to need to save up more for an ipad then, it's a bit like buying a Fiat Punto and really wanting a Audi TT etc.0 -
The ipad mini is just a cut down version of ipad 2, pointless.
Yes ipad has twin speakers, just like the nexus has.
Printing is easy, plenty of free apps on the play store.
whole .9 inch screen bigger wow.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
And you can't hold it like a smaller tablet because the mini touch screen area goes all the way to the edge.0

I have indicated the main points of why i don't like my Nexus 7. That is my opinion based on my 3-ish years experience of having tablets such as the old Galaxy Tab, the HTC Flyer, the iPad 2 and now the Nexus 7. I have seen them flourish and OSes becoming better & better. I feel tablets with less than 8" screen suits my lifestyle because it is compact and easy to hold.
I have sold my Nexus 7 BUT i havn't shipped it yet. hence i am here just asking for opinions and for help. Not expert help or opinions but simple, real life, practical help & opinion.
I still feel having dual stereo speakers, smooth OS, slightly bigger screen, buoild quality and the number (and quality) of apps is prime. The list could be more but this is very much an individual thing.
So, was i right or wrong?0 -
Actually people have had some luck in printing directly from a nexus7 connected via OTG-USB cable to their printer. (results vary from make to make but it's possible with the right app)
Or you can use WiFi enabled printers. or Google Cloud print if your Printer is not wifi enabled.
OS is very smooth as far as I can tell,
As for apps, I.M.O. quality is usually better than quantity.
I usually use in-ear headphones if i'm lstneing to music, games or movies.
I generally only use the built-in twin speaker for watching video clips on websites when I'm pottering about in the home.
As for build quality it's fine as far as I can tell, dropped mine a few times onto hard floors, no crack or scratch to be seen. ^___^
But i've opened mine up a few times, thinking of adding a 5Mp back camera to it once the warranty runs out in a few months ^_^
it's an easy upgrade as far as I've seen. ^_^Laters

I've you've agreed to sell it, you should honor the sale and ship it regardless of whether you were right or wrong to. That's just a moral issue of keeping your word.
Personally though, I think you're an idiot for having so much "experience" with tablets then buying something you hate and wasting money on it.0 -

Wrong, because the Nexus 7 does have 'duel stereo speakers'.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

If you've 'sold' it, and the buyer has paid you, you have no option but to ship it unless you want to be in breach of contract. You don't have the option just to refund them, as you are in contract to complete the sale.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
