Sold my Nexus 7...a good idea?

Options
Hi there!

I have successfully sold my Nexus 7 because i have several disappointment:

1. Speakers sound are mono and tiny. Its not loud enough

2. Most good apps come out first then on Android later. Much much later. e.g. TV Catchup was on iOS for a long time before released for Android. FIFA13 is now out for iOS. Nothing on Android. I'm tired of waiting.

3. Printing seems faster & simpler with iPads. With Android you have to have a paid app to do it whilst on an iPad you can do it "in-app" or within the browser.

4. Screen is just a tad small for a "regular" tablet. I feel the iPad mini is just the right size. (never mind the screen resolution)

I have a Galaxy Nexus Android 4.2 already so i thought having an iPad makes it "the best of both worlds" enjoying both OS. Sure the Nexus 7 have also many advantages against the iPad mini but...was i right in selling my Android tab?

What say you people?

I'm just wondering why you bought it in the first place?
Surely you weighed up the pro's and cons, looked at the features etc before buying it?

Why would you buy a 7" tablet expecting hi-fi standard audio?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • No.

Should have donated the money you spent on the Apple to a worthwhile charity, you would feel so much better.

Most apps on iOS are paid for - apart from the several hundred thousand that seem to only produce fart sounds and clearly must appeal to the mainstream Apple buying sector. Many good apps and games on Android are free albeit supported by adverts so you could always use the thousands of free games to ease the pain of waiting.

I'd never considered printing from a tablet but as it's clearly possible on both this is pretty much a non-topic.

    It's a 7" widescreen tablet.

I bought my wife an iPad. She never uses it now and nor do I. It's all a matter of personal preference.

It's a free world and there is no right and wrong choice. Where you were wrong was in buying the Nexus without doing some research first so wasting money. As you've now opted for an Apple device clearly you are no stranger to that though.

I got the missus a Nexus 7 for Xmas. She's a complete technophobe yet loves it. (She did the Asda food shopping last night on the Nexus using the Asda app and found it much easier than using the Asda website on the PC).
