In this case it appears so.
OP - that service is garbage. Personally I'd send them back as soon as you receive them (if you receive them) for a full refund as they're obliged to do by law. Alternatively you can try emailing someone high up in the company - that often works wonders. A family member ordered some £140 boots from Next and after similar problems, she emailed someone high up and they sent out a new pair and refunded the full cost of the boots and the postage.0
