AVOID Rubbersole

So unhappy with the service I've received from this place. I paid nearly £100 for some gloves which were guaranteed delivery before Christmas. They were a gift for my partner and purchased well in advance on the 12th. Friday before Christmas they still haven't arrived so I contacted Rubbersole who assured me they would arrive by Christmas. I contacted them again on Christmas Eve and was promised they were out for delivery and would definitely arrive that day. Unsurprisingly, they did not arrive.

The gloves are now in the sale on their website for £20 less than I paid for them. Rubbersole refuse to ship replacements at the current web price. However and I quote here "As an Exceptional customer service gesture" they will allow me to pay the same price I paid but receive a free delivery upgrade.

I think that is absolutely appalling. They spoil someones Christmas, they lie about delivery and the best they can do is sell me the same gloves at 20% more than someone who buys them today?

I paid a premium for the goods as I wanted them Christmas Day. Ill never use them again. Their attitude stinks.

Do you have it in writing that they were guartuneed before Christmas? If SJ then cancel and reorder at the lower price.

I wont be giving them any further business. You seem to have missed the point.

I'm not sure what you want people to say - Malkie76's answer seems a logical/ moneysaving one to me?

It isnt about money. Its about service and fair treatment. I was lied to and someone went without on Christmas Day.

Were you lied to, or was there a mess up in the deliveries? It is quite possible that their system was showing the parcel to be in transit.

It doesnt matter. Either way this company should bend over backwards to make up for it. Honouring the current price and expediting the delivery is the bare minimum they could do.

Then I refer you back to the first response:

You really are being difficult for the sake of it.

hmmm Im being difficult because I expect this company to make up for its mistakes and broken promises? Its people like you who allow these companies to exist and treat people like dirt.

You need to get some perspective. No one has treated you "like dirt", in fact from what you have said I don't believe anyone has even lied to you. They have messed up, but there is a very simple solution open to you. Instead your partner will just go without.

I doubt Rubbersole will miss someone quite so unreasonable as a customer.

Lol, which part is difficult or unreasonable? Expecting a quick delivery to make up for the guaranteed delivery date failure or paying the current price? You're ridiculous.
