:staradmin Hi Everyone and Welcome to the January's 2013 Bankruptcy Club :staradmin

This club is for everyone who has gone or going through the process of Bankruptcy during January 2013. So please feel free to join and post.

Pop your name on here, the date that you went/are going Bankrupt. Then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your BR journey. That way you can all stick together, compare notes and be there to support each other during the different stages of your Bankruptcies.

Remember this is your board so keep posting :hello:

Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help and you are all welcome. Any important questions that need answering please still post them on the main board, as you will receive more advice and help.

Hi WWDIT, First step is to make a list of all your creditors, debts and assets. Secondly and most important is contact one of the following debt charities. Please try these they don't charge and are impartial. They will go through all your options with you and if they suggest bankruptcy then come back to this board and we will help you all we can. Also if your not ‘clicking’ with one of the Debt charities do try another. We advise you to try at least two others for your own piece of mind. Your BR could be refused if you have not sought advice. (Advice on here does not count this has to be from one of the Debt Charities, an IP, an Accountant or a Solicitor. The Judge just wants to be sure that you can never come back and try and overturn the order on the basis that you were not aware of all the consequences).

I have my court date on 2nd January new year new start, I'm feeling very nervous but hopefully it will be okay.

Hi Discodancer and welcome :wave:

I think feeling nervous is probably the norm but if you read back through other posts everything seems to go OK provided you've prepared properly.

If you need any advice before the court date please just ask on the board, there are loads of very helpful people here.

Good luck for Wednesday and I hope it's the start of a new life for you.

I'm going BR on Jan 4th.

I think/hope I have done all the right things in preparation. I think I will be ok. Saying that, I'm not looking forward to my telephone interview with the OR. The only reason is that my case is a bit complex with myself not back to work until April due to injury and me stopping all but essential payments.

We shall see. No turning back now. I have to do this.
