I've not really stuck to a meal plan for awhile and my spending has really gone up. Back to school and work so back on a plan and we are already noticing an improvement. Less shopping trips, more organized at meal times and saving money.

Need to get back on the wagon because I've fallen royally off it lately! Its 3 more weeks until payday and I have only £50 for groceries due to a large bill that we had to pay this month. I do have lots in the freezer though and have done a total stock take this morning. Meal plan for the next few days (taking account of what needs using up first) is as follows:-

Wed: Cheese and onion quiche, salad, coleslaw and HM chips (me & DH)
Thur: Garlic and Chilli mackerel fillet with couscous (me)/pasta and garlic bread (DH), L/O quiche, beans and jacket potato(DS)
Fri: Chicken curry and egg fried rice (DH & I)/Roast chicken sweetcorn, cherry toms, cucumber and crusty baguette (DS)
    Sat: Pizza night
Sun: Roast pork, veggies, mash, roast potatoes and Yorkshires
Mon: L/O pork, egg and HM chips (DH & DS), pork stirfry & noodles (me)

Will do the next plan on Tuesday so I can see what's left at that point, and what needs using up.

ETA: spent £3.67 of the £50 in Ald* this morning on potatoes, some toiletries, some jelly crystals for DS's packups and a 30p bar of chocolate for DH.
