Visit this page and update any plug-ins that need updating, then let us know if it still crashes..

I'm going out shortly but there are a number of 3rd party addons I would look towards that *could* be at the root of the problem.

Amongst them; Midas player, Zylom Games Player, Coupon Printer, Adobe Flash.

You can disable them temporarily one by one to see if it stops the crashes.

  • Morning, so far NO crashes YAY.
Which means I didn't get woken up at ridiculous o'clock by my autistic son because the computer had stopped working.
    Many many thanks.

Humpf, Firefox went screwy this morning, web pages being displayed in tabular form, no idea why except I'd downloaded itunes last night ( awful programme).
Tried a restart with add on disabled , no joy so did a reset all now well but I've got to reinstall my add ons.

  • I have had it boot me out of Ff almost daily for the last week after running happily for hours. Just basic browsing.

I have just checked addons, only have 3 normally (avast Web Reporter,FF Test Pilot, camelizer) but I did find Alert Box which I can't remember adding.

    Now disabled

Have those with new problems tried doing a system restore?
In the past I've had microsoft updates screw up my computer. But I was able to get back to normal by restoring to before the update.
It's one reason why I no longer have the updates run automatically.

You could use palemoon, which runs most firefox add ons, maybe have one with and one without any add ons
