  • Its a protest against the licence fee. Very funny. BBC is a rip off, they do not need to be funded by a compulsory tax in this day and age.

I've been stunned to see how much people have been bidding on wrapped Christmas presents.

Looking through a variety of the listings, it does seem that most of the presents are for women and children. I found one listing for a teenage boy, but I haven't found any listings at all for adult men.

Edit: After I wrote that, I searched for 'unwanted christmas present mens'. There are a few out there. However, when they are for adults, these listings do seem to be mostly targetted at women.

There were countless sellers selling job lots of 'unwanted gifts' some listed 20 odd lots at the same time, they didnt even bother to use a different excuse for them being unwanted or different wrapping paper.

I saw one lot of three that went for £130 ish, with a description of them being an unwanted present from a secret admirer, beleive to contain some sort of jewellery becuase they 'jangled' yeah right, they did make sure they got it the dont know whats in the, only bid if you like taking risks etc etc.

Some people really are stupid if they believe these sellers really have unwanted expensive gifts, but dont open them and list them properly with a proper photo.

The negative feedback should be rolling in over the coming days as they start to land on the doormats.

I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
  • Not sure as I do not use ebay anymore but could the buyer not just claim item not as described or wrap them back up in different paper and then say item not as described :) I dont know but there has to be some way of fighting back.
Then again more fool them to bid on the bloody things in the first place.
