SpiralingDown wrote: »Morning, school run done now just waiting on my mum leaving my cousins wee one off with me while they go to a family court hearing.
I just hope it doesn't take all day, they've just to finalise supervised visiting which should start this weekend or next. So long as there's no drama with her ex, he has been behaving but did want the child on Xmas day and rang and texted everyone constantly eventhough there was a court order saying he wasn't to see him until today's meeting.
It was a total nightmare, when no one responded he stated that today he would be fighting the 'supervised' bit of the order but he forgets about his violent convictions and that was the reason for supervision and the fact that the boy doesn't know who he is.
He thinks that the boy will instantly recognise who he is eventhough he last saw him almost 10 months ago when he was 1 month old. The guy's no sense, he told the judge that the boy would soon calm down and he would deal with the crying but the judge asked him what he would do if it didn't stop and he said he doesn't know. It is on record that social services had a report from his nephew (who is on the at risk register) that on more than one occasion this guy screamed in his baby nieces face and shoved her making her fall over because she wouldn't stop crying, this is one of the main reasons for supervision. They don't think he could cope by himself with him at least until the child gets to know him and he gets to know the boys quirks.
Sorry for rambling but anytime I try to talk to people about it they take his side because they don't know all the details, they haven't seen the reports and how serious some of the offences are. They haven't seen photos of his niece after he'd shoved her, she was just learning to walk at one point and fell badly so her wee face was badly bruised so much so that her mum refused to take the child out until it cleared and told peoe she had chicken pox so they wouldn't ask more about her.
I could scream at some times with some people's attitude
Hope it gets sorted for the best. Good of you to help out with the little one. :ASmileand hopefully the world will smile back

Broccoli stalk is lush, you have to peel the hard outer skin off but the centre cut into strips is great in a salad:)"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

How many cloves of garlic do you use when cooking spag bol ?
Yesterdays attempt at onion soup was binned, it was minging :rotfl:
I just pop in a couple, I concentrate more on the herbs for spag bol, the garlic is just to bring the flavour out so should not really be identifiable as a taste, in my opinion anyway. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

If they look at my CC spend for January, they'll think someone else is using it, what with buying lots of fruit and no gin!
On the other hand, I'm now getting paranoid about putting wombled points onNO MORE HANDWASH GLITCHES PLEASE:D

Well I was talking last night about tescos company policy on accepting coupons not the law and I would guess each manager has to or should be following company policy.
Part of an email from tesco cs
She has confirmed manufacturers coupons will be accepted at all stores as long as the terms and conditions are followed. They must be legible, in colour or black and white, but not photocopied. The coupon must be in date and the exact product the coupon discount is for, is being purchased. Coupons printed at home from online offers are also accepted as long as the above information is adhered to.
This may have changed since I was sent it
I was just saying what the law was. As everyone here knows Tesco are a law unto themselves anyway :rotfl::rotfl:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

They do not have to sell you ANYTHING, in fact they do not even have to let you in the store!!!
As for the law on selling instore, the SEL prices are an INVITATION TO TREAT, when you put the shopping through the till the price that comes up is the OFFER, you handing over the money is the ACCEPTANCE. After that they cannot do anything about your transaction as the goods are then yours.
That is, of course, assuming the basic law on this subject has not changed in the last 34 years, which I am pretty sure it has not.
Thanks Enterprise,
It hasn't and they can still refuse to sell anything or everything to you........but like you said, once the money has changed hands the deal is sealed.0
