Third receipt, this was from yesterday, 10% cheaper than the rivals.

There was some Carlsberg 4 pack lager that was about a pound cheaper in A than T. Also some Kit-e-Kat more than 10% cheaper in A than T.

There was one consistency, across all the four comparisons - this:

The Crisp n Dry Vegetable Oil 2L was £2 for A compared to £3.99 for T. The APG also had it £3.69 in S, £3.99 for M and £3 for Waities.

Some Oreo Cookies were bought, at 50p (!!argh), which didn't compare favourably with T, M or W. (Hint; a final comparison is coming up, which might show you which Oreo Cookies to buy if you're looking for APG....)...

Still not good - on life support, fully wired and piped up, probably in septic shock, black and blue all over, have to see how she does through the night but it could go either way.

so many people needing the positive thoughts and prayers but if anyone has any spare ones send them in her direction, she is going to need them to get through this.

This must be the most awful time for you all.
My best friends BIL in his 40's was in a similar position a couple of months ago. I posted about it on here. One day had a cold next day on Life Support and given very little chance.
But after 2 weeks they managed to get him off Life Support and he is now at home convalescing. In his case there has never been a real diagnosis, just a lot of possibilities but lots of senior consultants said they didn't expect him to survive.
So just thought I would let you know so you can try and stay positive - there is always hope.
  • Thank you, I hope you're doing ok, so sorry you've lost your friend.

My great aunt has her card written for her local little corner shop to put up when she dies. It goes something like this

    Mrs xxxxxx has died.
I send all my love to those who were friends to me and my family but i'm with my beloved husband and so happy to be there. Do not mourn for me I'm where I want to be, instead be there for those I have left they will need your love and kind words.
I thank you all for what you have given me and wish you all the best in this life and the next, until we meet again.
    All my love
    Xxxxx

She's a barmy old bird and made the girls in the shop laugh when she went in with this. They thought it was a joke but she said 'I don't want them to write just anything about me so done it myself that way I know it's done right!' :rotfl: this was written about 10 years ago and everyone has a copy by now just incase the shop is taken over and her note gets lost. She wants to be sure her words get out to those who matter.

That is so sweet - exactly the sort of thing my mum would've done! She has been gone 17 years now and it still feels like yesterday
    :(
MARKZ123 - hope things go well at GP tomorrow

Happy Birthday to those with genuine birthdays ;) x

It worked on an 8pm shop this evening as well.

I found load of Sallys in our local A earlier (having not found in with the nail varnish for the past few weeks ... but then it clearly isn't nail varnish, which I didn't know with being a bloke :o). I resisted the temptation to buy multiple shops as I wasn't sure if Mrs Anon would use it, and if she did, what she would do with more than one ...?

If you have a mobile phone with internet it is worth getting the MSM app - useless for most things (as only lists a few offers) but the barcode scanner is useful to check if you have the right item and it still shows you the prices in A/T/W/S.

Shame that nothing else was glitching today!

I got my first ever smartphone for Christmas after spotting it on the darkside, my mister thought it was an excellent idea :D would love to get the app but can't seem to find on the app store even when using the search!! Never mind, it'll turn up, tanku for the info! :T

Good Day Peeps and Peepettes 49.gif

Just a heads up - don't think it's been mentioned:

I got a T Finest meal deal yesterday, with other shopping, and the wine compared to A and Morrisons in the PP.

It is the Tesco finest Montepulciano d'Abruzzo £6.99

It compared on the PP with Asda Extra Special Montepulciano £6.98.

    So 1p PP voucher.

Worth keeping an eye on the A wine - hope it drops by a couple of pounds at least. The Morrisons was also £6.99, but don't know which one it was.

Hugs to all that need/want them.

My Dear Dad passed away 2 years ago today :(

Sorry to hear about your dad Rhett. Hugs.
