My tesco shopping and wombling days are over...

whilst out walking my dog yesterday i collapesed and had a seizure bit a huge bit of clean of my tounge, bruised face, black eye, wet myself (dont laugh) the only thing i remember is waking up in an ambulance 1/2 hour later. blood tests all ok..they say they think ive had an epileptic fit..therefore i can longer drive for at least a year...

im the only one that can drive as im already a carer for my wife..

we live in a small village..only a couple of shops no tesco..

everything is going to change now i have no car. cant go to tesco. cant go on either of the 2 holidays we have booked.

so on monday ive got to go to the GP and arrange brain scans and EEG's. and then hope for the best that it was just a 1 off, but either way its looks like i will lose my licence..

    FOR DOGGY / PET PEOPLE
my dog is perfectly fine apparantly he just sat by my side gaurding me when i was on the floor fitting..he wouldnt let anyone near me until it was someone he knew (luckily because of him everyone talks to you when you have a dog)
i couldNT ask for a more loyal friend and protector..

ive got so many questions to ask.what, if, when etc.

they say life begins at 40..well if this is the start of my life IT SUCKS

MarkZ123, really sorry to hear this. Hopefully you'll be able to use the bus service - if your village is still one left with a realistic bus service. I am not sure if a dial-a-ride scheme is available? Concentrate on getting better and chin up. There's online delivery options. If blood tests are alright, it may be okay. I fainted moments after a tetanus injection once and bit my tongue etc. - no suggestion I was ever unfit to drive.

You'd be in the same situation whether or not you are in work. If you were a lorry driver, for instance, it could be worse: no longer able to work. If you are a lorry driver, I just wish you well: you will either recover (other people have been through your situation before) or, again, there are people with disabilities such as having epilepsy can be and have never been able to drive all their life.

Either way, it can't be helped if you have an accident or medical situation. Over the next few days, just take it easy on yourself and get better. You're in the right place, with the GP. Just wish you all the best. Stay positive.

    WELL I REALLY AM SHOCKED.

im amazed how much support ive received on here from people i only know virtually.. thank you all so much.

from what ive read on the internet and the symtons ive had...convulsions, biting tounge, wetting myselffalling flat on my face etc...i think it is definately epilepsy (hopefully scans will show)

i think im more scared of what it is if it isnt...epilepsy...

i will be lost without my car..(i only brought some new car mats last week)

the 1st holiday is paid for with clubcard vouchers. the other only the deposit is paid...(rest is gaining interest in my bank until last minute)
if i do lose the car we will get a taxi to the 1st holiday (got a quote £120 each way).. the second holiday we will cancel..

luckily i already have a bus pass (dodgy joints hypermobility)

on another positive i dont work as im a carer for my wife (she has mental health problems and a rare form of epilepsy (vision and sounds)) so at least i dont have to worry about work..

my little dog has been spoilt rotten today...my wife wont let me out alone incase i fit again..

my dog is a rescue lad from battersea at old windsor.he is so loyal and friendly. (what people say about staffies is so wrong)

im so tired and achey so im going for a lay down...thanks again for all the support it is really appreciated. if i dont reply please beleive me..im not ignoring you im just knackered...

i will let you all know what the GP says

The CC vouchers, that went for your holiday, are the least of your worries right now. YOU is the most important thing. Just go with what your GP says. It's always anxiety worrying about what else it could or could not be, and as human nature we always go for it being the worst thing, but it so so rarely is.

Good luck. Let us know how you get on.

Just back from T's and got a little £2 DTD on some veg. Totally fluke but they'd put it in the wrong place and its only because I always check my receipt I noticed it.I don't do DTD very often but this was totally genuine so did it, and was given it without question so cheap veg:TIt does make you really think though how many people are genuinely overcharged and never realise.I wouldnt have a few years back:oand then I used up my Finest vouchers on a load of whoopsied Finest steak:T:T:T

Well Ive messed up my APG this morning but I am not sure why.

I made a very carefull list but the price of the Pmegreat has come out all wrong, the Tosco price should have been 2 for £2.
I must have got the wrong one in Sada but it was the only one in the fridge.
Have to have a look at mys to see what I did wrong

1 x ASDA Flu Max All in One Chesty Cough & Cold Tablet...£2.00£0.55
2 x PomeGreat PurePlus Chilled Pomegranate Juice Drink...£3.00£4.30
    1 x Coca Cola Zero (8x330ml)£3.65£1.87
2 x Kenco Millicano Wholebean Instant Refill (85g)£6.00£4.00

These are the comparable items, all fillers removed. I had 75p print off couponsafe MOCs for Millicano coffee and I used my rapidly dwinderling large APG
