Car driving trip to Shrewsbury FloFlo - you can do it :T

    Shrewsbury & Warrington - sorry :)

They tried to send me a nearly 2 hour drive for a course in work - I told them to take a hike, lol.:p

I am getting better though I can park between 2 cars in the car park now without panicking.:D

I still am amazed I can drive, most days I get in the car I think 'I can't believe I can drive'. I thought graduating uni was an acheivement (at a ripe age) but passing my driving test was definitely as hard.

Fourth and perhaps final receipt from a shop done today.

This person seemed to know what they were doing as it seems the whole shop was bought with a voucher of nearly £14 that covered the exact bill of the entire shop!! After the voucher, the bill came to a total of £0.00. The receipt produced a voucher for £4.31 as well:T!!

(Oh, hang on... this was the shop that I did earlier today:rotfl:!!)

A vs S on this, folks:

Due to the ASDA Price Guarantee, you're entitled to a voucher of £4.31:

    Why £4.31?

18 items (11 different) on your bill qualify for comparisonASDALogoWhite.gif Sainsbury's

    1 x Oreo Cookies - Double Stuff Chocolate (185g)£1.39£0.55
    Comparison total£13.82£10.57

The other comparisons obviously aren't the ones, and are not too much of interest. Nonetheless:

The 3x 1% milk (on which T is currently showing N/A for me when logged out on MSM) did, for today at least, compare vs the T multibuy. Unless MSM's computer scrape picks up the T 1% milk again soon, this may stop working:

    Comparison total (compared products only)£12.89£13.61

Just to show I did compare vs the best price on everything, even on the SP Vinegar, here is the M comparison:

    Comparison total (compared products only)£7.83£8.31

The price for the 3x 1% milk is in red on both the T and M lists (so it's a 3 for £3 offer at those competitors). Everything else everywhere is black.

    And vs W:

Notes: The Kipling Bakewell Tart is on 'half price' at S at 65p. I have noticed that this product is quite a bit smaller than what it used to be some months ago. The weight is now not being stated, as if we don't know. The product has been on my "ban" list ever since it became smaller, until very slowly over the months and months I get used to it being the new size. However, the 65p at S (as opposed to the more usual 90p (A vs whichever rival's £1)) means that, despite the weight drop, 65p-6.5p each is a better price.

There were four type of Oreo Cookies, three on rollback at 50p each and one on at £1.39. I selected the one with the white price label, that didn't say 'rollback' on it, and got roughly the same effective price, as S is 55p on this particular version. The £1.39 reached the amount of my APG voucher (even though I know you don't have to spend the whole but can use part and go via CS according to the APG T&Cs) and with the £4.31 APG voucher (which may as well be legal tender in these parts as I already shop at A) it's the same equivalent price - just a little lower than that dreadful 50p amount I've kept mentioning today.

The Kipling tart came back N/A vs Morries, even though they usually have it, but I am none too bothered as S is 65p. BB date on my 3 is end of Jan - and they go very quickly indeed in this household. Later on, I went back to S in search of that elusive Xmas Pudding and walked past the Kipling Bakewell Tarts - there were only two of them left. Far fewer than the number there were in A (before I took 3 of them). Also noticed those Double Stuff Oreos at 55p on one of the prominent aisles and left them all firmly behind.

Like someone earlier, I also missed a m'buy. However, instead of losing out by failing to take up a m'buy (as the previous person did) and N/A at the rival, there was no need for me to buy 2 (on the Fruit Pastilles Lollies) as the product was less than half the price plus 10% of the m'buy in A at the competitor. I'm aware of value lollies and normally go for them, although I very much like the Pastilles ones and they keep for some time in the freezer (although not enough to buy 2 at that price!).

    Afternoon folks
Happy birthday Naebbirac, hope you have had a great day :D
Well we are all sttled for the next month in our new home :rotfl::rotfl:
Been out for dinner yum yum!! Thats the good thing being here, no coooking or cleaning :rotfl::rotfl:
I have had a text from 1 of my sisters and another 1 of my sisters is in hospital, we dont really get on but do speak if we see each other. But about 6 months ago her husband of 25 years left her and she is now in hospital with a breakdown :( I will ring my sister thats told me in a while and find out, dont wish her any harm as dont wish anyone that!

It is really hard isn't it Bubbs. I fell out with my brother the day after my mums funeral, to be honest it was a long time coming. But when he was ill just before Xmas I had to see him, I think before my mum passed I probably would have dug my heels in and not gone but losing my mum made me think again.

Thankfully he is on the mend but I am still keeping my distance, I can't cope with their (mainly his wife) constant drama.

At the end of the day you need to do what you can live with, I will never have contact with my dad again as he was horrendous and wouldn't visit him to hear his last breath but I think he's about the only one now - I'm definitely mellowing.:D

After all my rambling I think what I am trying to say is you can wish them well and even visit without forgiving them or becoming too involved.

Just make the right choice for you. xxx:)

I've finally managed to get some whoopsied double cream @6p per tub! (Only taken since the beginning of 2012 to find it). and now, predictably, I can't find the instructions that were posted on here for making butter. I've found some instructions on Google which are fairly clear to begin with but look a bit complicated at the 'rinse' stage - if anyone could kindly let me have the Elite version I would really appreciate it. Also, can I add a bit of salt at the beating stage ? Thanks in advance for any help !

    Good Afternoon :D

    Happy Birthday Naebbirac :bdaycake:

Hugs to poorly people those who need hugs for various reasons and if you just want a hug.

I agree with what Mark says about Staffies ....

My Poppy is my best friend from the dogs home.

I went looking in all the cages for my girl she had to be small medium girl doggy no older than 3 years.

I looked in all the cages and none caught my eye then last cage these 3 dogs came barking at me to front of cage "pick me" and i glanced to the back and there was this dog shivering looking petrified so i looked up at signs before i went any further and N209 was a lassie age 18 months :T so i told the other 3 to "shut up" :rotfl::rotfl:and shouted "come here" to N209 :D eventually she came looked at me and i looked at her and said "hello Poppy" . Went to get assistant and said "can i take N209 to her forever home please".
Got told she was prone to escaping :rotfl:no wonder no one loved her poor thing. Also got told other stuff took her for a short walk to see if we compatable and after couple hours got told she mine.
    :T:T:T:T:T
Home she came and she's been loved and spoiled ever since ;)
