In response to Savvybuyer, I know that we had a Wednesday glitch day recently and wondered if prices changing on a wednesday were why it glitched.
I can see no reason or rhyme to which days glitch but love it when it happens.
Today would have been a good days as I am on my own so could hav etaken full advantage but hey ho. Might pop to Boots.0 -

In the user CP, under settings and options click on "edit options".
Then in the private message bit, the last option is "Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default"
You will need to make sure this is checked to have them saved.:D
This is new to me i didnt know i had a sent boxi just send pm's and wait for reply.

Why don't you leave the window cleaner's money on one of the upstairs outside windowsills. Put it on a different one each time if he wants his money he'll have to clean the windows.Dont blame you.
He only cleans mine once a month i told him i couldnt afford every fortnight.
Will watch him may even put mark on window when he's due ;)and if they dont get cleaned shoo him off saying cant afford him.
Can clean bottom ones myself .0 -

Just quickly, I think Patty may have spotted a Saturday glitch pattern and we need to be checking early on Sats. I think prices - barring this unusual week - change in T on Tuesdays, and Wednes is Morries price collection day, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with anything. I think it might be due to changes in the data sets of MSM which may update on Mon/Tues. to cover new products and changes where competitors have stopped selling comparable products - these regular, more thorough data set changes obviously don't happen every week, hence why it may be Wednesdays every month or so. Or perhaps the updated data sets remove a previous glitch.0 -

In what way does it or might it glitch? I thought it was more a Saturday thing than a 'price-change day' thing, but the experts on here on these things may be able to tell us more.
I've had one before where a product due to change in price at a rival that day was showing OOS (out of stock) for the rival on MSM but the product still compared to that price. I don't really think this sort of thing is a glitch, in the sense that you could have bought the same item the previous day (when it showed in stock) and obtained the same effective price. It doesn't normally allow us to save even more.
It's more likely that (if an offer's expiring) the product will compare at the new full price if bought on changeover day rather than to the offer price. So I'd normally avoid changeover day.
I said an 'OOS' on change-over day doesn't normally allow us to save more. Except that in my case it did - since the item was part of one of my £40 shops and I therefore had a £5 off. It was at the same price at both stores the day before I shopped (the day before the offer at the rival expired). On the day of my shop, changeover day, the price where I bought it rose up by over a pound - allowing me to reach the £40 sooner and without buying more - it remained at the offer price, but showing as OOS, for the competitor. But it still compared, now at higher price where I bought it - and a better chunk of the £40 - to the offer price even though it had an asterisk on MSM.
I think this may be a 'local' thing, sometimes it's OOS for us but not on someone else's MSM. On this occasion however it was showing OOS when signed out but showing as N/A for the rival when signed in. Weird.
Hence the 'risk' I decided to take. This was also the reason I missed the half price on the Flash wipes in W and thought it was M's price. MSM kept showing the full price for W when I was signed in (which is when I add items onto my various lists, as you can't do it signed out). I missed it until I saw a comparison on here - then logged out and found the half price at W expiring too soon!!
It's nothing to do with glitches though. I thought changeover day was more a risky day than a glitch day, but I may be wrong! Someone can enlighten us. In the meantime, if I may also reply - rather belatedly and probably irrelevant now - to a recent poster who said the glitches of the 31st Dec would definitely work on 1 Jan as no-one would be working in MSM, I think this might not be correct - as I thought the MSM prices are obtained by an overnight computer scanning (which might operate automatically and not need anyone actually there)?
Right, I'm off to Aldi now for the fruit & veg specials. As most of my posts are at night, and some of them overnight, perhaps they may sometimes be missed by the morning crew on here? I sometimes do have useful things to say overnight so, if it's a weekend more, please check if I've said (or others have said) something overnight. Likewise, the evening crew - such as myself normally - should not forget to check what you guys are saying!!
I'm getting the fruit & veg at Aldi - we're deciding we need to eat more healthily - but could someone check the weight of the Dessert Pears pack at Sains. (which should be £1) - perhaps best to weight on three or four packs - and roughly how many pears are in a pack? Also what are the Lidl fruit & veg offers today? (If there are any.)
Many thanks and I'll see you later.
