£80 spend in deed ! I guess it would suit some folk, just not most of us ! When my MIL told me what she spent on shopping I said "what in a month ?" And I have more folk at home than her.

They should teach Savvy buying in schools !! :D

But with £70 of vouchers and apgs it'd be worth using with the right sa in tosco.

Could be to the right person with the right SA etc but generally they are just there to get ordinary folk to spend more money

For those of you still on here - or who return and discuss before I come back later with much less of a flurry - I have my own, unoriginal idea of what's your glitch wish-list for the New Year?

I think we'll try to confine this to items fall under the APG (i.e. grocery shopping rather than wider things such as prices of your next holiday or the petrol pumps).

The items I'd most want to glitch are some of the more 'big ticket' items like the washing powder. Although I'm by no means run out, it would be nice to stock up again at an incredible price!

Finally, on a lesser note, perhaps a glitch on the chorley cakes or eccles cakes would also be nice, as my household get through so many and it would be nice to be able to stock up.

I can't promise to fulfill your wish list - however perhaps it might encourage me, or others, to go and find a glitch on your item, so we can live in hope. After 2012, we hope 2013 is just as glitchy a year.

Best wishes for the new year. Back at some later day, sometime in the new year.

I think I'll end (or continue) by quoting myself again this once. There was/is actually a glitch on the chorley cakes - but not near any good (since it's still more than the 77p they were on when on A rollback).

The Cherrytree chorley cakes (4) have been comparing on APG vs M (even though M's version is their own brand). From an M comparison shop I did just before Xmas - on which almost everything compared right and happened to come back with correct M prices - the Chorley Cakes compared 89p vs 89p. So slightly cheaper than the Aunt Sally Chorley Cakes stocked in T (N/A A and S) at the mo. at 84p (no: news alert!!, I've just rechecked, they're now 86p, according to MSM.co.uk).

But A vs M on Cherrytree only taking you back to a slight price increase from the A rollback price.

I quite often use the Cherrytree cakes as a sort of filler item when doing an S v A comparison, since my family always use them up so quickly. I've done it three times now on an S v A. And never yet has the S in-store price of £1 gone down. I suspect many other people - almost all of those who buy the Cherrytree chorleys at S - lose the 11p saving on BM by buying something that is, on the shelf price, on offer in S and therefore cheaper in S than A. (Although - another mistake of the general public - these items should be bought in A instead as, using the APG, they're even cheaper with the 10%!!) I never ever ever buy Cherrytree chorleys if doing an A v S. Still less if doing a Dave.

Also a couple of things on the M comparison - didn't recognise the multibuys at M. These were shops done before Xmas though, but just a forewarning that some of the M multibuys (when mixing and matching in A) don't (didn't) appear to be coming back. Not lost much, as they were only a few Lozenges at 55p. But it's a glitch - or was a glitch - not in our favour.
