  • Evening all, just popping in to say hi.
    Hope everyone is ok.
I'm exhausted, I took the Xmas decs and tree down today and thought it would be a good idea to rearrange the front room. I didn't like it after I finished so put it back the way it was. It only took 4 hours :rotfl:

:(:( As if 2012 has not been bad enough, I wont chronicle it all now but some of you know it has, I have just heard that a friend that I've known forever has passed away from Ovarian Cancer.

What makes it even harder is that we dont live that close anymore but I was the first person she told & I went to her first chemo with her & looked after her afterwards I encoraged her to tell her friends & neighbours down there & if they offered help she should accept it but as time went on she didnt want me to go down & didnt even want to talk to me on the phone, & she also didnt want any of our mutual friends to know she was ill so I've had to avoid everyone

    So upset tonight

:(:( the sad thing about that horrible illness is everyone finds their own different ways to deal with it. I lost my lovely FIL to lung cancer and as soon as he had a positive diagnosis he literally gave up and was gone in 3 weeks.

My dear dad had bowel cancer and never gave up, fought like a trooper until the bitter end. Was positive every step of the way.

I guess your friend didn't want the people closest to suffer and dealt with it the way that she thought best. There's never an easy way to deal with it and everyone makes different choices. You sound like you were a wonderful, friend and of course you're upset. You have lost a friend and it hurts. Sending you hugs, you did what any friend would have done :A

So sorry about your friend ((((((QPR))))))I agree with fairclaire, everyone deals with their illness in their own way. My Dad became very depressed when he got ill (before he was even diagnosed with cancer). I think your friend was probably depressed too. Cancer is a horrible disease :(

I've been known to take a pic on my phone of where I have parked

We're supposed to be going shopping tomorrow, either to Street or Swindon. But misery guts has done something to his back

 because he is just gonna moan the whole time

But shopping is exercise and exercise is good for back pain :D

:rotfl: I have been known to lose my car in a hospital multi-storey car park before. I had the car park attendants looking for my car, and then I realized I was parked on the level above:o

I do hope you enjoy your shopping trip. If I have got to get a lot of items, then OH always goes shopping with me. he wont let me carry bags of shopping.
He does loves shopping though and thankfully is on board with the Money Saving.
He does not always understand these glitches but trusts me and loves getting items cheaper.
