Be interesting to know on what grounds they intend to appeal if they haven't met any deadlines for response.
I'd normally expect an appeal to be rejected if it was out of time?
Certainly need a very good excuse otherwise, i'd have thought?0 -

Yep.
This is ok for us, we have legals fairly comfortably covered.. Its a typical reaction of theirs to the whole thing, they ignored our letters, emails and phone calls, then protested various excuses. This time its their solicitor's fault, but its taken them a while to acknowledge the judgement so they were hardly on the phone immediately sorting it out in protestation and shock.
We'll see. If it goes to court, while annoying simply because we'd like to move on, we're very confident.0 -
Sorry that they have gone to appeal, as the info you have given seems that they had not got a clue!!As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0

Ok....,
As promised, and sorry for the delay. The company in question is Wood Pellet Solutions http://woodpelletsolutions.co.uk/aboutus/
also using name Renewable Living.
Their credit rating is now shot, and the MCS (who have been abysmally toothless through out the process) suggested today in the phone that its their belief they are likely to go into liquidation and that its unlikely they will be regiven accreditation anyway.
The bailiffs from the high court judgement (forced to this measure as they did not pay up after summary judgement ) went in but were unable to recover any assets. .
Cannot emphasise enough how disappointed we are with the MCS dispute resolution/mediation process. Expecting people to live with non functioning heating/hot water throughout no heating months was crazy and fails in comparison to other mediation processes (which as a lawyer mr in rates has plenty of experience with).
The advice we were given by other people who have looked at our system is it was simply NOT capable of operating at the KW it was sold as operating at, that it was incorrectly plumbed in various photos as well as finished attempt and that the equipment is simply insufficient, as well as the boiler being wrongly sized for the cylinder and various other failings. Things like the immersion being inadequate for purpose the company admitted them selves.0 -

Just a quickie to say I absolutely agree re the mcs certification. We took our pv installers to the small claims court and we won and they also paid us for lost generation. The installation caused a lot of problems and has now been sorted by a very good company
wd for sticking with it, it is so easy to curl up and give in
omg: I actually contacted them about servicing our musa hydro and fortunately didn`t use them Thank you so much LIR, they are not far away so we are circulating the link to the other stove owners on our development0 -
Many thanks for the update and sorry it has taken so long to resolve. Hope that you can now get a heating system that works. As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0

Kittie, re you not being far away and wanting some verdo pellets, is that you on the green board? ......I have a whole load of Verdo ones, (like five tonnes or so ) in the small bags. It might be I am local enough to you for it to make financial sense for both of us to come to some arrangement? ( if not I'll pay VAT on them at higher rate and sell them to my business for animal bedding, but such a waste.)
Please spread the word. He is a local business advisor for the council or something, yet.....appears to be very much less than honest. . He never put an appeal in to court btw.
We can prove them to be liars without doubt, because my business meetings are sound recorded for my own personal record. I can prove what they said has been ' inaccurate'.0 -
we can`t use the pellets lostinrates, we only use 3 small bags a week and have a tonne stored. I have now arranged with our local countrywide to pick up a few now and then. Thanks for offering though. We also have very limited storage. I am sure that someone on the green board would buy them as there are people on there who use several tonne a year
Yes we will pass the word around and I have already forwarded the link to dh who will send it onwards. I won`t spill the beans on the pv group as they are trying to rebuild the business, it looks as though they have got rid of some bad eggs and they settled for the full amount, eventually. It is a bit worrying about who to trust these days with so many jumping on the band wagon0 -

Never mind, I left a note on your thread too, worth asking.0 -

Me too.
After revisiting ruled out air source there is a daiken high temperature unit that seems feasible for this property. We've see a few in action.
Honestly? I wish we hadn't lost money and could go back and start again knowing what we now know. I'd do a lot differently with heating.
We have to have more electricity brought in now to power the wretched heat pumps, and they are far noisier than we would like. But ground source is going to budget bust now, (I think it would be my preference) and we just have to have something.
I so look forward to simply running a hot bath!0
