no but using my nursing knowledge I wonder if its anything to do with the sudden change in temperature causing the vessels to dilate/ or change thus causing the nose bleed.
:) either way, I think keeping my finger out of it might help :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I've just filed expenses for 6 months of broadband which I should have put in ages ago, as long as it gets approved that's a nice £147 coming back to me sometime next week :D

AMR547 sorry you don't like blood tests :( I have to have them every 6 months, I can't not look when they do them or I freak right out. With regards to the sink, have you tried the OS board, they have loads of handy ideas for clearing them. I think most include bicarb

I don't look, but I still manage to throw up! It's just the sensation I think, it makes me feel really faint and queasy! I had hoped the one I had yesterday would be my last one but no such luck! I don't envy you having to have them every 6 months. This will be my 5th test in 3 months :(

I would go to the ends of the earth to avoid having a needle. Be brave! :( Hope the sink gets sorted too.

Just completed an online focus group for Orange/EE for which they'll reward me with a £20 Amazon voucher apparently :) It was quite interesting and didn't last quite as long as planned either.

I used to faint for getting a tsp drawn, but one nurse told me that she finds nearly everyone seems to not realise they're holding their breath, and that's what makes them go light headed. My last blood test, I focused on my breathing, and barely felt a thing...
  • Aaargh don't tell me high cholesterol comes from being lazy, if it is I am in BIG trouble.

    Lol - Me too!!

I'm feeling old today.;) My life assurance DD's has not been taken from my bank this month & thats really unusual. So I looked out the paperwork only to find out that it's 15 years since we bought our house so as the LA was bought to cover the mortgage, the policy has now finished.

Now I have a dilemma. It is my intention to pay off the mortgage within 10 years. We are both in our mid 40's and I have calculated that it should be do-able. Its 80K ish. Should I risk being uninsured or should I get a new policy :undecided:undecided

It was obviously our intention to pay off the original mortgage within 15 years (and we did have it fully offset at one point), but 2 extensions, a garage and 2 kids got in the way :(

Wow!!! I haven't been on here for a couple of weeks and now there is too much for me to read and catch up on! I must make an extra effort to keep up to date with what everybody is doing!

I was looking forward to payday yesterday and paying off a big chunk of debt, but oh no....that very same day my TV blew up!!! Obviously I can't live without a TV so will have to use some of my pay to buy a new one at weekend

My TV was ancient so I have no idea about plasma, LCD, LED...anybody got any recommendations??

Have you thought about asking on Freecycle? There are often older style TV's being given away as people replace with flat screen etc. It might tide you over for a bit until you have the dosh for a new one.
