Babies?
Spag?
Minicooper:Can you only claim one year at a time then? Over here I think we can claim for around 5 years. Sounds like it could be worth it if you can?
We've filed a return every year to date, it's just that this is the first year we've used an accountant. So no, I can't revise previous returns, sadly. And also I don't think we'd have got nearly so much; this year's been very different, from bailing out my mother's finances to the discovery that DH's previous workplace (he moved jobs halfway through the tax year) has been overtaxing him by about $300/fortnight.MFW diary here. 1 Feb 2017 $229,371 - MFD Feb 2043  aiming for May 2028

Heya All! Sorry I have only caught up with half this page... Kerri congrats on bump being a girl
here's hoping shes a little late for you.
Spag bol, hopefully it will be soon
I went to the bank last night and checked the account that i dont use, it currently has £1020 sitting in it. my regular savings has £605.21, soo buy that count, I have reached my target of £1600 to pay my dad for my car!
I am still going to reach as close to £2000 as possible by end of year. I would have been closer but had to pay out a fair bit on my car, and it still isnt fixed. Thinking im going to have to take the hit and pay out more to get it properly fixed and then i will sell it on, hopefully at a profit, and get a car more suited to my use.
The pdf filter is blocked and im struggling to get it to burn off - this should ahppen on a regular basis, but because i use my car like a 'start/stop' driver, only going to school/work and home with the odd long drive, its not good for the turbo.
I will still be here next year as i have one and a half debt to pay that i would like to clear for next year as well as chipping away at the mortgage. Got my lightbulb moment regarding my mortgage yesterday.Living Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb

Wow - my housemate was just in the living room, which is at the back of the house, and some guy walked past the window pushing a bike! We've been out to have a look, and we're a little bit creeped out.
She and another housemate nipped out to the shop just after, and apparently drove past him, so they stopped to confront him and said he was off his face, so we're going on a needle hunt tomorrow...
I'm a little concerned because I park my car round the back, and really don't like the idea of coming home after dark tomorrow! It creeps me out that he could have been there when I got back from work earlier, and I maybe didn't notice him. We have an out house, so it's possible they could have been using that to hide in.
I've still not gotten round to getting contents insurance, but think I'm going to sort that out now. I'll put it on the credit card until my saving reach my account in 3 days.0 -
just popping in to say hi but ohhhh minicooper that sounds scary, be careful on your needle hunt please. Is the back of your house a private area or is there access for the public? Should he have been there at all, I'm a bit confused as to where he came from.
Anyway Hi all
hope everyone is good. So we are approaching the target debt free month and I feel like I am in a worse situation than last year in some ways... :-(
I have less debts overall but I owe more and the bank charges are still stinking! I really need to do something about these
On the plus side I've re-newed my contract today and I've got a nice new phone with lots of memory for less than I'm paying now on the same tariff that I am on now, so that's all good to save a few pennies.
Need to start scrimping elsewhere and selling everything that isn't nailed down to get cracking with the debt busting though.
