Before I was forced to buy those maxi-dresses for summer as none of mine fit with the bump, I hadn't bought any new clothes for over a year. The clothes I had bought were 10 tops for £30 from fleabayDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

just popping by with my 1st of the month update: £4550/£10000 - getting there!
I'm starting to think about Christmas too. This year me and OH have set a limit of £30 as we dont really need/want anything. Without a limit i just go mad and keep buying every week, not good. Im frugal with stuff for me, just not gifts it seems.
We decided on a low limit as it reminded us about we were skint students 8 years ago. For our 1st christmas we were only allowed to buy each other 3 presents - i got a photoframe (complete with photo of us), some disney pjs and a teddy. The presents were heartfelt and chosen with thought and attention so trying to get back to that really.

At the time, I was still expecting my promotion and pay rise, so figured the increase wouldn't affect me much, but it hasn't materialised yet, so I'm now effectively going to have a pay cut!
It's only £40 a month, it won't bankrupt me, but I'm a little bit annoyed.
On the plus side, a company I submitted a speculative application to have said they are interested, and might have a position early next year, but subject to a formal interview and workflow.
Fingers crossed for the new job!
DH was "let go" on Monday, not good timing with me leaving work in a week!! He has had lots of interview interest already though so keeping everything crossed for us too
The Monthly total for September (assuming I haven't lost some updates at some point!!) is:

Oh no! I will keep everything crossed that he will get something before the little'un shows up! Does he have a notice period with them or is he still on initial probation?0 -

Probation so only 1 week salary and 1 week leave. Luckily he has picked up some freelance work but really need him to get something permanent within the next couple of weeks and a payday before Xmas!!

I've not transferred the money yet, but I will update now anyway:

I think I'm going to aim to get up to 75% of my target by Christmas - I only need to scrape together an extra £80, which should be achievable. I really don't need to buy anything at the moment, especially as I have to be able to move absolutely all my belongings in one car load (and I own a clio!)0
