Before I was forced to buy those maxi-dresses for summer as none of mine fit with the bump, I hadn't bought any new clothes for over a year. The clothes I had bought were 10 tops for £30 from fleabay ;)

just popping by with my 1st of the month update: £4550/£10000 - getting there!

I'm starting to think about Christmas too. This year me and OH have set a limit of £30 as we dont really need/want anything. Without a limit i just go mad and keep buying every week, not good. Im frugal with stuff for me, just not gifts it seems.
We decided on a low limit as it reminded us about we were skint students 8 years ago. For our 1st christmas we were only allowed to buy each other 3 presents - i got a photoframe (complete with photo of us), some disney pjs and a teddy. The presents were heartfelt and chosen with thought and attention so trying to get back to that really.

    That's lovely :)
I remembered yesterday, a few months ago I increased my pension payments effective from the end of this month. At the time, I was still expecting my promotion and pay rise, so figured the increase wouldn't affect me much, but it hasn't materialised yet, so I'm now effectively going to have a pay cut!

It's only £40 a month, it won't bankrupt me, but I'm a little bit annoyed.

On the plus side, a company I submitted a speculative application to have said they are interested, and might have a position early next year, but subject to a formal interview and workflow.

Fingers crossed for the new job!

DH was "let go" on Monday, not good timing with me leaving work in a week!! He has had lots of interview interest already though so keeping everything crossed for us too :D

The Monthly total for September (assuming I haven't lost some updates at some point!!) is:

    £7697.57

Oh no! I will keep everything crossed that he will get something before the little'un shows up! Does he have a notice period with them or is he still on initial probation?

Probation so only 1 week salary and 1 week leave. Luckily he has picked up some freelance work but really need him to get something permanent within the next couple of weeks and a payday before Xmas!!

It never rains but it pours eh?

I've made some progress on my debt this month, but will wait until later in the month to see exactly how much :)

I've not transferred the money yet, but I will update now anyway:

    #141 1900/3250 = 58.46%

I think I'm going to aim to get up to 75% of my target by Christmas - I only need to scrape together an extra £80, which should be achievable. I really don't need to buy anything at the moment, especially as I have to be able to move absolutely all my belongings in one car load (and I own a clio!)
