I've not transferred the money yet, but I will update now anyway:

    #141 1900/3250 = 58.46%

I think I'm going to aim to get up to 75% of my target by Christmas - I only need to scrape together an extra £80, which should be achievable. I really don't need to buy anything at the moment, especially as I have to be able to move absolutely all my belongings in one car load (and I own a clio!)

My first car was a Clio :D I only had it 9 months because it was an absolute pain in the backside. When it rained the sunroof leaked so I always had towels in the car for my seats and a carrier bag for my hair :rotfl:

Then I part exchanged it for my new car, a toyota aygo  had that 18 months and no probs so far, touch wood... apart from the fact i'm still paying for it :rotfl:

    You are so right Kerri!
I think we all went a bit crazy with credit cards and loans. We were buying things we didn't even need! My parents generation saved for something before they got it whereas now we buy and then work out how to pay for it. Life is now a bit excessive, with cheap clothing we wear once and then forget about, and food that justs goes to waste. Now I'm trying to buy more sensibly and only when I really need to.
Back to rationing and make do and mend!

So true but were we satisfied spending and getting stuff when we wanted it. Personally I find it more fun now saving for something first, it makes it much more special. I never want to see another credit card again. Plus there's nothing like picking your own food.:j good luck with the plants Kerri.

Hope your DH finds another job soon spagbol.

I have the car in for MOT today and I'm feeling very nervous.

Yeah, I've had mine 18 months, and I'm not too impressed! It breaks a lot more than my old fiesta did! I think I should start saving for something a little better. My sun roof leaks too, and unfortunately my brakes are needing looked at this weekend. I just had them replaced not long ago!

Go for something Japanese, you won't regret it :D

This afternoon I've mostly been walking around steep hills. KNACKERED.
  • Mini Cooper, it sounds like you bought Amr's old car! What colour was it? Would be funny if you both say the same :rotfl:

:rotfl: That would be funny! Mine is a burgundy 3 door, so definitely not the same one! Just a common fault.

Welcome lindatrole! Good luck with the challenge, how much are you looking to pay off?

I know I have said it before but I always think you have a Mini Cooper :D:p:D

I am off out to get the last of my Christmas shopping in about 10 minutes. I am unlikely to be back before it gets dark :)
