    Congratulations :):):)

Will your mum pay you back or are you being a very generous daughter?

    Thanks Kerri :D

I am being a generous daughter :D When my Dad died she stayed strong for me and my brother and sister. She has recently retired, so doesn't have as much disposable income as she did have but still has the same household bills. so I thought I would take on her credit card and mail order debts so she just has the day to day household bills. Hopefully it will make life a bit easier for her :D

I don't need to save for anything at the moment, so I will just use the same money I have been paying on my debts to hers. They should be paid off at the end of April 2014. She stopped using the cards and ordering anything from mail order catalogues when she retired, so the debts won't be going up.

I am even going to delay buying my MacBook Air until after she is debt free too  I don't really need a MacBook Air, I just want one! They will still be available after April next year :D

Just paid £1000 towards my V4nqu1s card, although doesn't really show as much of a dent in my debt total as I would have liked :( I've been taxed close to £2000 this month, so much for the £2k bonus. Although this month was one of my qualifying months for maternity pay, so it's upped how much I will be paid in the first 12 weeks so not too shabby :D

Hoping to pay some more towards the debt later on this month, but will wait until around bill date and see how much I have left. You never know when things crop up, but at the moment I've definitely got another £500 I could throw at it.

    Hi guys

I hope you are all well. Hi to Jemma if ur reading, I see you popped in a while ago to say hello.

How are everyone's baby-bumps and cats doing?
Sorry to hear ur cat is being fussy Kerri, they certainly know what they want the little terrors!! :rotfl:

I haven't really got much to update, still need to get a spreadsheet sorted. I have paid another £50 to MIL who covered my rent arrears when we moved, so I have paid her quite a bit back now.

It would probably be easier if I started again with my targets and broke it down into sections so I know what's getting paid cuz at the moment its one big muddle in my head :undecided Would that be OK Spagbol?

Not much paid off this time, but happy its still going down and not up, could easy spend £1k on credit card due to everything broke in my house but im managing to make do for now :-) Missing my freezer very much but forcing myself to save and walk shops everyday for tea :-) Just have to replace one thing at a time!! Think ill only manage to pay £20 a week off debts most week, with everything going on but after Christmas money should loosen up a bit and be able to hit it more xxx

At last it's pay day for me. It's been nearly six weeks and nearly finished me off. Thank goodness this one is a four weeker.:j

  • Yay! Payday arrived! Unfortunately I have so much to buy this month, with no reserves to help cushion the cost, so I doubt I'll be making any payments until the end of the month!
