That's fantastic, it was sad to see the totals dwindling, it seemed like I was the only one wearing a sack cloth, limping in just the one shoe and gagging on porridge made with water twice a day.
Well, it's almost that bad - I haven't bought a lipstick all year0 -

Have been sent to research possible courses in my local area so that I can stop going insane with boredom. The classes I'm interested in won't start until Sept/Oct, so I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions of courses they have tried, so that I can have a few more things to look up?
I've been looking at swimming classes, language courses, cookery classes...0 -

Apologies if you have already tried this but enter a half marathon in October and start training! Buy some good-quality running shoes from proper independent running shop that will assess your gait and print off a training schedule from Runners World. Basically runnng 3 times a week with a long run at the weekend increasing by about a mile a week. It is addictive and FREE apart from the shoes and entry fee. You could raise money for charity tooDMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
p.s. I did try this myself (I'm not a complete sadist
), I went from only being able to run a few minutes on a treadmill and hating it to loving running outside, got up to 13 miles in a couple of months and then ran a marathon the following spring! It might help if you join a club or go with a friend, I trained with a friend and it was really useful for the times when you feel sluggish and need help or they feel they can't do it and you can boost them
