Hmm credit card company have written to say they are increasing my limit by £500 to £3000!!! Good job the OH is in charge of the card now as I am just overpaying it and bringing the balance down. It'll be nice to have it for emergency or big purchases though.

Did I say that the OH has agreed we should use his student loan next month to pay off the card? That'll be me debt free and then having to save up £7.5k to pay off his debt...so I won't be going anywhere, but at least we'll earn interest on the £7.5k as we save it because his is all 0% interest as it's with a DCA.

Does anyone struggle with the thought of being debt free? I can't imagine it.

    Hello all!

Sorry for my absence, I've really got out of the habit of thread reading especially as work has been so busy and that's when I usually catch up on MSE.

Haven't paid extra to the CC this monthafter my initial £400 overpayment as I've booked a week's holiday in May to Wales. We've gone the past few years and it's a very cheap holiday (without having to resort to camping:D) £189 for the cottage for the week, we take our own food with us including home-made ready meals, picnics out, lots of walks (if weather's nice), evenings in playing games or watching dvds, really MSE. I do feel like I need a break soon so now i have something to look forward to.

Getting a bonus in this month's pay packet :T so that will pay for the holiday and there'll be some left over to use towards CC :D

I just want the debt to be gone so I can start saving a hefty amount of money:mad:

3 payments left on my OUSBA fees :j then i will be free of payments june - oct, where i will be then probably doubling what i was paying  as i won't receive any funding for my last course, bummer!

also - after i have paid my loan repayment next friday, i will only have 3 payments left on my loan!!! :j

if i can get my sofas out of the way in april as well, then hat leaves us £180 a month better off from july:eek:

virgin contract is up for renewal in august as well, im still not sure what im doing with it. OH wants to stick with virgin but i want a better deal??

    Evening everyone

Some good results on here again.

Moaning myrtle you have some fab figures in your signature.

I came home to some good news tonight. After a number of PPI rejections in the past few weeks I have been offered £2006 from B4rclaycard. Phew I'm still stunned as I was expecting a rejection again. I have some serious figuring out to do this week money wise.

I'm sure that's a light I can see at the end of a very long tunnel.

Keep chipping away everyone.:T we will all get there.
