Hi all,
I've made my first payments tonight, £266, I think it will be a bumper payoff month and looking back, March last year was the same. It must be the roll on effect of all the abstinence.
I'm hoping that this year I can keep the ball rolling and not slip back.

Well done triple choc chip...over 15% :T:T:T
DH has been paid today and I have paid the balance of the holiday (£182), sent off the passports for the kids (£110) and paid £60 to a CC that I have built up over the last week so not part of the challenge. So there is no update  But we are almost all square to start overpaying the CCs again :j:j
Also, lots of the stuff on ebay gained 3 or 4 watchers overnight and there is still 4 days to go for most of them so hopefully I can pay off the rest of the "emergencies" card at the weekend and top up the shopping budget until my payday...then I can get overpaying!!DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
Actually, I think this is the best legacy of this challenge, that when things go backwards a few steps we know how to clench buttocks, get square again financially and then proceed forwards again. In a former life I would have just got another CC or loan and continued to spend money.
I think from some of the other posters on here that is the same for others too. We should all be very proud of ourselves for changing our lifestyles and attitudes to money (and DEBT!!!) :TDMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

My chest infection is bad today, although I think it's better than yesterday. Customers are telling me to get off the phone because I sound like I'm struggling to breathe...oops! Felt really hot in the night and had a go at OH as I was convinced he was on my side of the bed, he wasn't I was dreaming! Thought I'd already gotten out of bed this morning only to realise I'd dreamt it. Oh dear! I think one of the problems of working from home is we work when we should just stay in bed and be sick.
I'm going to answer this customers query then go back to bed I think.
Paypal is starting to fill up nicely, so that'll be another £50 towards the card later in the month. Although I've misplaced my internet banking calculator so I can't check any accounts grr. Also means no spending thoughDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Welcome LolaLemon  you are #157
Well done for the lifestyle overhaul, I keep trying the same but failing after a few days
I started small with the diet - changed to real butter and not fake/marg/half fat/low fat/oil etc... buy better meat (we dont eat lots of meat, a small amount is eanough for us but that may change as the bf is moving in and he comes from a family of T-Rex!), cook from scratch as much as possible, dont drink anything that says low in sugar/no added sugar (you will be surprised how much better you feel when you dont have sweetners affecting your body!). try and buy organic or local for the less chemicals in our food. We avoid beef and cows milk (and yogurt/cheese/icecream etc) 1stly due to allergies, but when i started looking into it more, even if we could eat it, i would avoid like the plague, the amount of 'stuff' given to cows is unbelievable. im not a 'cows rights' type person, but i do think; what they consume, we consume etc ... im digressing here sorry. we use goats milk/cheese/yogurt, but not a lot as its expensive and you dont really need it (has something like 2.5x more calcium thanm cows milk)
All of this was changed gradually so the price increase wasnt as scary adn my body did not notice a big change all at once, just better tasting food...
Now for that exercise! haha
I've been wanting to make some over payments to the capquest acc but as i no lobger have a mobile fone, and only have internet access at work, i cant do it online, as they txt u to confirm the transaction. grr.

Hi everyone,
I've cleared my Nxt Account finally :jand paid a bit off one of my 0% cards too. Its a slower start this month as we're now on an offset mortgage, so its better to hold onto the money & pay everything at the last minute. I'm not sure how I feel about that, cos the money sitting in our account is quite tempting.....:o
