    It's a payment day today! Pay day tomorrow, so everything left in my accounts has been divied up between my various pots. I will update tomorrow though, after I make my big payment.

    I bought myself a chair on fleabay today. It's very nice, but a little bigger than I thought it would be... It only cost me £3, and I thought I would be out-bid, but at the very least, I'm figuring I can always re-sell it to get the money back! It's really bad that I'm buying now, thinking that I can just re-sell it later....

    I did this a fair bit last year...I had bought some bits on ebay then left work and sold it again and very often made more money :o

    Ihave re-adjusted our total today :(

    With DH's tax bill, some interest and fees we are down by about £1700 :eek::eek::eek: So...

    #002 £271 / £45,000

    :eek::eek::eek:

    This will go up again with DDs this month but I am a touch sad about it.

    Morning everyone:)

    DH has been paid and his payrise has gone on:j I am still not sure exactly what he will be getting each month as he has bonuses going on and co car fuel coming off so I will scrutinise his payslip when he brings it home so I can budget for the months coming up. This month it was £124 more than what I had expected so I have rounded up the OP pot and will be paying today/tomorrow:

    £400 mtg op towards the secured loan
    £250 college fees - red letter received:eek:
    £250 capital repayment part of monthly secured repayment
    £33 EDF payment plan

    £933 in total:eek::j:j

    I am hoping to squeeze another £67 out of the budget to round it up to £1000:D DHs colleague has been giving him a bit towards diesel as DH gives him a lift most mornings. It was £40 last month so if he gives him it again I will only need to find £27:)

    We must not go over our budgets as I do not want to be dipping into our emergency float and undoing all the good work we have done this month.

    I don't think I will manage the same next month as we have our holiday spending money to pay out. DH thinks he will get his quarterly bonus next month but I never count my chickens so next months target is £800 if no bonus and £1500 if we get a bonus. Ooo I forgot about the mobile phones that need selling, we may get to £1000 after all.:T or we might have a little treat;)

    Only 22 days to wait until our next pay day:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    My SO got a letter off Vodaphone, well the debt collectors for his contract he had to let go into arrears because he was made redundant. He paid £100 off but they're still asking for the full amount, hmm. He's going to phone them tomorrow to set up a payment plan. March is going to be another tight month!!

    Hi Fleurlur,

    Thanks for making me aware of this.

    In the event that your SO needs any help with matters could you ask him to email email me with his details via the link in our profile here?

    All he needs to do is copy and paste the link into his web browser and it'll take him to the Contact us form on our website.

    To ensure that it reaches me could he also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line and once our automated reply arrives could you update the thread with his email reference number and I'll get back to him as soon as possible?

    Kind regards,

    Lee

  • Hello!

    Sorry I've not been around just recently, things at home have been quite hectic (in a good way) and I just haven't had the time to keep up with all the chit chat and so on, but fear not I'm still digging away at our mountain of debt.

    Jammie so and so hubby has only managed to get yet another 0% credit card, this time from M&S. He's been given a decent credit limit which will help us out no end! I've just been sorting out what we can pay off with it and it's very exciting! Hopefully it will just leave my barclaycard and my old Egg card which are not on 0% and we should finally be able to close 5 accounts!!! (I know, i know i said that last month but I mean it this time!)

    Anyway, back to the here and now and the car payment went out this morning and i've updated my spreadsheet with statements so I have a new figure:

    #27 £785.45/£6000 (13.09%)

    It's not as good as I'd hoped for, but I guess 13% in two months is only slightly behind target and as interest payments will now be a minimum, things can only get better!

    Will catch up soon, I promise :)
