Hia, i know i am very late, but i would really like to join. I have only just seen this thread (i dont normally thread hop, tend to stick in the old style or the few that i have subscribed too).

I have roughly £5000 that i want paid off within 18 months. £2500 to my dad for a car and roughly £2500 on a credit card that the insurance company should have paid off.
I suffer with depression - that i self manage and after an overhaul of my diet, it is doing good, just need to find some extra hours in the day to add exercise in and it would be great.

£170/£3333 is the target for the year. (£5000 for 18 months time) should be doable

Welcome LolaLemon  you are #157 :) Well done for the lifestyle overhaul, I keep trying the same but failing after a few days :o

Well done to those paying off and hugs to those who need them.

Don't post very often but do read regularly.

No 71 paid £210.84/15,000 - one debt will have its final payment paid this Friday :-)

Hurrah you are off the starting blocks on my spreadsheet, well done :T

    Reporting in for Februarys progress.

    £1,636.01 / £14,300.37 11.5%

I'm really really chuffed to bits. I only started up this challenge mid-January. I never thought paying bills could be so exciting :rotfl:.

I've found it easier to focus by concentrating on one debt which is being cleared by lots of overtime. I hope to be at the 20% mark by the end of March.

Wowsers that's a fab month you've had. Well done and yes, it is addictive :D

So I guess I better add my credit card bill to my total. :P That makes me currently at #135 £300/£1195 darnit.

    Still over 25% :T
Thanks Spag. I think that was taken from my total, I was working on my subtotal. The extra is car finance, but a regular payment of £107 PCM pays that off next year :) I don't mind counting it in too, it's all debt I guess. In hindsight why didn't I consider it in the first place.

Will have a rethink and get back to you :) :rotfl:

    No probs :)

My OH didn't get the job :( I've emailed them (from his account) asking for further feedback on why he wasn't the right candidate. Poor love, that's two turndowns now. At least this time he got to the face to face part, he didn't get past the phone last time.

Oh no :( I hope something comes along soon for OH, my DH is going to try applying for better paid jobs soon too and I'm very nervous.

  • It's a payment day today! Pay day tomorrow, so everything left in my accounts has been divied up between my various pots. I will update tomorrow though, after I make my big payment.

I bought myself a chair on fleabay today. It's very nice, but a little bigger than I thought it would be... It only cost me £3, and I thought I would be out-bid, but at the very least, I'm figuring I can always re-sell it to get the money back! It's really bad that I'm buying now, thinking that I can just re-sell it later....
