  • As with the previous poster I have just received a similar txt at 10.01 on Sunday the 23rd June 2013
The website track-myparcel looks very official. However there are some mistakes on the contact page for example.

Contact address is the cargo center at Birmingham airport.
Telephone number 0845 862 3032 on Sunday it goes to an answering machine.

The website was registered on 18 June 2013

I did put my name and address in, so feeling a bit stupid.
They are using a payment method called PayPoint not familiar with it.

What rang my alarm bell was the payment method.

What would ring my alarm bell is the fact that I am not waiting for a parcel from abroad and if I was then Royal Mail would be the ones asking for customs fees....
  • We have family overseas so receiving an unexpected parcel is not unknown.
The reason for charge (only £20) was not explained. I was assuming it was for the service charge to deliver from Birmingham.

They have used a number of logos of major parcel companies e.g. UPS, DHL, TNT, City Link. I have contacted DHL and told them of the scam. As they don't want the bad press I can assume that they will force the website offline.

The site is registered with godaddy.com who have a spam reporting page....

Which I cannot post a link to because I'm a new user... Thanks MSE!

Go to the godaddy.com home page and find the link to "Report abuse"

When you enter the domain name exclude the www. part.

I've logged a report but I guess the more people report it the quicker they will be to get the site closed down....
  • Hello everyone :)

I received a text message this morning from +447478405596 stating, 'Your parcel is being held at our depot. Please visit europost.link and enter CLAIM ID: 97**13**4 using PIN: 1670 to arrange delivery.'

So I went online to check it out as I was intrigued?!?...the website looked fairly legit and had a section where you put in the claim ID and the pin. After this it redirects to another page that states the Type; parcel, location; UK terminal 4, damage; no, courier; not known, service; not known, £valuation; not known, UK; CUSTOMS CLEARED, declared; gift, identification; UK Mobile Number Located On Consignment Packaging and Action; Text Sent To Customer. ??????? Under all this there's a CONTINUE button which then takes you to a parcel claim service page where they ask for your address...so I put in a load of rubbish and it then proceeded to a page to inform me that there is a £50 unpaid fee and if there isn't a confirmed delivery date then they'll be daily storage fees!

I had phoned the contact number on this fraudulent website and it wouldn't go through anyone to talk to, saying because it's near Christmas to email them!!! I also phoned the mobile number which I was texted from and there was message stating that the number is non-contactable!

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! Do not give these degenerates your details or let them steal any of your HARD EARNED mon£y!!! It really makes me wonder what kind of scum exist in this world?

I hope this has helped at least 1 person.

All the best and Happy Christmas. :xmassign:
