Just received a text saying

A parcel is held at our depot - please visit www.parcelexpress.eu and enter claim number EU-1586842** to arrange delivery. Thank you

I go onto the seemingly convincing site to put in my address for delivery and they want a £60.00 fee for unpaid items. Also it says that unclaimed items incur storage costs.

Company gives a numbe rin Belgium. It has scam written all over it.

Well I had been waiting for a parcel with no whereabouts and received a texts this morning too.

I gambled on paying the fee as it all seemed genuine.

Please to say a van knocked on the door at 9PM tonight - Xmas Eve and delivered the parcel..... My 11 year old son is going to be well pleased in the morning.

Thank You Parcel Express for saving our Xmas this year.

How stupid do u think we are?

    Yep, a complete scam.

The domain name parcelexpress.eu was registered on Saturday, 22nd December 2012 using false details:

    parcelexpress.eu.jpg

In particular, note the contact phone number and fake fax number.

+32 is the dialling code for Belgium, which is where they claim to be located, however the rest of the number—08701820621—is the same as the UK contact number given on their website.

I appreciate the scam is obvious and old news to most here, but just wanted to get it in to Google for those poor unfortunate individuals who might be taken in. Let's hope they do an Internet search before parting with their cash.

Stupid enough that many people still fall for it unfortunately.

  • Just thought I'd jump in here and add that there seems to be a new site doing exactly the same thing. parcelreclaim.com

The text message they send out is below:

"URGENT RESPONSE REQUIRED. Your parcel is held at out depot. Please visiit www[.]parcelreclaim[.]com and enter claim bumer EU28903361 to arrange delivery"
