I was in Stockport Town Centre branch of Boots earlier and there was not much left on the sale anyway. Saw mostly Sanctuary gift sets, a lot of slippers and Christmas crackers and cards. I did see however the Jimmy Jamm pyjamas that I got for Emma on New Years Eve at the Trafford Centre branch but looked like no small sizes left. Even so if these go 75% off it's well worth grabbing a pair as they are lovely.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Those were the days. Too busy getting free things from Asda and Tesco theses days to go to Boots too much. However I have some points saved for next Wedmesday. Nice to see you Sandra.

Gutted about this! call me selfish but I was really hoping this didn't get too well publicised as I will have my 6mth old in tow and don't fancy a huge scrum, the last few years have been lovely and civilised where I am and I was hoping for the same again :(

I'm gutted too, there was only a few people in my boots last year, expecting a stampede now :(

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Well publicised? It's like world war 3 in Boots on the 75% day here, and has been for the last couple of years.

I'm loving your little bit at the bottom of your posts lol are you still on the no toiletries challenge ? Whilst getting excited with us guys and still visiting boots :) I know I couldn't do it lol

But seriously I haven't seen this much stock about for a few yrs espesh the amount of s&g usually that never lasts to much past 50% time and seem to be a lot of the big sets still around. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Wouldn't worry to much abt HDUK as anyone interested in the sale would already be on the ball about it and many people have work or school runs so it prob won't be any more nuts than last yr although saying that the Next sales were horrific this yr.......hmmm
  • Chattmum hope you don't mind me asking, are you the sainsbury's toy sale lady who lives near Norwich?? if so have you been to castle mall to see how much stock left? Apologies if I've remembered the wrong person!!
  • Will the sale be online too?

I must be lucky because the stores I use have always been pretty empty for the first 1/2 hour. Last year there were 4 of us waiting and it was very sedate:)I do think it depends where you go to be honest;)

I went to Bristol Broadmead last year and they had loads and if was very civilised. The year before I was on hols so my dd got my list locally. Year before broadmead at 8.00 and Cribbs at 9.00 and it was manic. Only have a few points and small amount of cash to spend this year so off to Bristol Broadmead where they have got loads of stuff. Oh just put snow tyres on my car ( he had them from his old Escort and no one on E-bay offered him much so he kept them) so even if it is snowing I can still go. I want a new Jewellery box and some slippers.

I'm hoping people around here will go off to the big store and leave the little local one for me ;) lots of the big No7 and Champneys giftsets left ATM which would set me up nicely for next chrimbo :)

Surely HDUK is just as popular as MSE so people would find out either way...as for me, i don't mind a few elbows, i went to college in canterbury and to make the most of your lunchbreak you had to elbow, weave, dodge and dive about the place to get what you wanted! Bring it on i say. Also a friend of the family told us she's been put it as extra on the 16th, and has told us she'll send us a text if it is 75% off sale on wednesday :) I'll be down there no matter what! My little local surprisingly has a good selection, and the past 2 years there's only been about 5/6 of us there so i'm hoping this year it'll be the same. If not i feel sorry for anyone planning on bashing me about ;)
