Exactly, Monkeynut. Somebody having a bit of fun I think...

I am certain boots staff are instructed to obfuscate the whole matter, but I wish they would just say "I don't know" instead of lying. It's not big & it's not clever!

That IS a weird post, and started on a new thread, no where near the other Boots stuff - how very random!

If the staff were going to be honest they would say ' i don't know, and even if I did, I wouldn't tell you because you'll only post it on MSE and I hate you all, you awfu rude, Ikea bag carrying, ebaying, greedy, grabbing pigs on 75% off day' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Haha, true Juliebunny! I can understand they must get annoyed with hundreds of people asking when the sale is going to happen. I'm lucky that this year i'm at the end of my maternity leave so i get to go down first thing and bag a few xmas/birthday pressies

As for the people trying to say otherwise that the sale isn't happening on wednesday, i'd give up now, we all know it's been a wednesday in the past :L

HUKD have tweeted the 75% sale its on the 16th, they have over 47k followers so its going to be packed !

Even if you break down the gift set & use the individual items yourself, it can be a huge saving. I do that & my family ends up with much nicer toiletries for my money than usual.

Also I have 2 teenage daughters & they & their friends LOVE gift sets. So stocking up the present cupboard for birthdays & secret santas etc saves us a fortune on pressies.

I can't understand people who add to a thread just to say "I wouldn't buy this" - that's fine, but move on & don't be so judgemental.
