Just ordered a cable hub gadget online for my bro. Why can't I leave it alone? :DPaid with points so it's OK though. Stop looking online!
Really want a No7 big set, but no chance of checking out our main shop in town ho hum0 -
I stopped off at the Boots near Green Park station on the way home last night and managed to buy 18 items, spent £52!
I should not be spending like this but justify it to myself as I will give the gift sets for birthday presents this year.0 -
Are you the one who showed him a picture of it before to make sure he knew what to get? :rotfl:Yes I am lol glad he got it right! Was impressed as I only asked for 1 bless him!

Very little left in Boucher road boots, empty shelves I'm afraid. Jug and bowl sets, marmite cups, a few nandos sets and some tin watering cans. Plenty of cards and paper though. Very nice lady on the till said a man yesterday was clearing the place and openly saying he was going to car boot it.Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:
Debt free date April 2016!!!!:eek:0 -
A little lesson for me to learn for next year especially as I am a low spender is if you spend just £10 online you get free delivery as it recognises it as a £40 order!
I went and spent my £11 of points on just 8 quid worth of stuff & the rest on delivery charges when I could have had the 'whole' 11 quid of points on goods with free delivery0 -

I ordered online at 4am on Wednesday morning. My order was £21 so I got free delivery to store, but it wouldn't let me have free delivery to store or home delivery until I added an extra item to get it above £20 or £45 for home delivery.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
I would like to say after reading some of the posts that it is bloody pathetic if some of you are worried about 'Asians' getting your much needed Sanctuary sets etc.. 'Rivers of blood' has not been applied to Boots.com as far as I know. I went in to Derby store today, after work, limited stock, staff working their !!!!!! off, no race issues.
It was ONE comment by ONE person and everyone else challenged her on it actually , so it was not ''some of us'' but ONE of us & it is usually a fairly friendly & supportive place on here and comments like the one made do NOT go unchallenged , believe me
So best to start off on here on a positive note as a newbie rather than say that people on here , many who have been on this site for years are deemed ''bl**dy pathetic'' as attacking people verbally is NOT a good start0 -
OMG thank you to all- first time i got items i wanted in the boots sale!
I took yesterday off work, especially. I planned to get to boots at 7.45, before it opened at 8am cos im late every year.
I got to boots- bond street, london at 8.10am and i was late! But i couldn't believe how packed it was, there were people scavanging everything and by 10am most shelves were less than half. This one man brought his man size suitcase and bought and packed everything, and then went around again!!!
I wanted to buy more, but i had to put things back- no7 gifts- because i just couldnt carry it all by myself. But i felt abit emabarressed, get so many bargains and shop staff look at down at you and ask you is this all for you??
I spent my boots points which were £37 and I spent £48 in cash. I got the following:
2x vintage jewellery boxes (both for me!!! lol this is what i wanted the most)
3x natural body collection 4 body washes (for me and 1 for gift)
2x revlon boxes- perfumex2 and nail varnish (for me and my mum)
6x men fcuk bodywash and spray (for birthday/xmas gift)
3x dove bodywash/creme sets (for me and 2 birthday gifts)
4x the white company- hand towels and body lotion sets (for birthday/xmas gift)
1x fcuk bodywash set woman (for birthday gift)
1x the white company handwash and lotion set (for gift)
3x so perfume gift sets (for birthday/xmas gift)
2 x starbucks mugs (for birthday/xmas gift)
1x champney pedicure gift set (for birthday/xmas gift) - thinking of returning this one
ive read everyone else's experience - its been so much fun to read and share!0 -
Ebay is FLOODED with stuff .... and looks like its selling for RIDICULOUS prices ( I was secretly hoping the stuff wouldn't sell & their houses would be left like an episode of ''Hoarders'' LOL , but it IS selling!!!!!!! )
Thing is these people aren't ''struggling to make a living'' or ''struggling to make ends meet'' its all about GREED & PROFIT , as they are CERTAINLY not strapped for cash if they can afford 8-10+ trollies worth of stuff in the first place & then they sell it & swell their cash stash even more for the next swipe of greed , they're not doing it for charity ( well , most of them I presume ) nor as gifts for family & friends obviously but just for sheer profit , profit , profit which is all they can see when they are KNOCKING OTHER MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC including pregnant women & kids or people with buggies out of the way , its ridiculous!!
We could ALL do it , but we don't , because our motives are love for our families , not amassing tons of money / profit & I'm just happy if I manage to get my girls a few bits and for the fun of it really (online) as I just stick to my budget , prioritise what I want and remove the stuff from basket which aren't my top favourite items and am happy to get SOMETHING which it looks like plenty of people DIDN'T after the hoards of Ebayers descended on the stores , its so unfair I reckon as everyday people should get a CHANCE at least of getting a few nice bits , not the scraps left after the profitmongers have finished hauling it all in! :mad:0
