Well in the crazy world of Nanamia, what can I say, I seem to have missed days worth. For no valid reason, I am keeping up with my lists and going ok I think. Didn't add a tasks list this week as more of the same but getting there. I'm constantly tired, grumpy and have a headache so you are lucky I've been absent really. I'm loving the Christmas cheer xxx
Murie, Flowfy, Mrs Hayes, Pinknfluffy, Hanley and any more absent friends where the devil are you we miss you all xxxThe secret of Christmas

Sorry everyone, sleepfairy has returned my cheque, not known at this address, so if you are awake it is probably my fault. Loved the photos of the shopping centres deccys, we have nothing like that here, and the towns ones are a bit tatty and a lot dated, but at least we still have some, I read somewhere that some town councils have had to ditch them in order to save money!
Put my friends tree up and dressed it yesterday, that was fun, it was my old tree and some of my surplus deccys, so they got a good home. Need to decorate Living room today, after we have done her business plan for next year and got quotes for a tanning booth and a gun, and hopefully sourced an acrylic nail course for her. Oh, and rewritten all her publicity bumph, as she has been advised to change the name, too.
DGS Christmas fair on Friday, need to make gingerbread and Victoria sponge, decorate and fill a jar, fill a bag with toys, sort out some books and dvds and donate a raffle prize and something towards a hamper. (they don't ask for much, do they?)
Off for coffee, now, and ironing to do. Play nice, and keep that mojo polished. xx0 -

Oh I treated myself to a [STRIKE]bit[/STRIKE] lot of eyebrow threading yesterday during the shopping trip. Had been putting off doing them myself as I knew that when we went to the shopping centre they usually have it on for half price (£5). All I will say is that the the visit was long overdue and well worth the fiver. I tried not to wince too much but I must admit it did bring tears to my eyes. They were so fast doing it - I'm fascinated how it works.mrsinvisible wrote: »Put my friends tree up and dressed it yesterday, that was fun, it was my old tree and some of my surplus deccys, so they got a good home. You sound as though you are a great friend to have. I'm sure your friend will appreciate all the help you are giving.
Might get a little bit of xmas shopping done this afternoon (fingers crossed).

OMO - my mojo is lacking too. Every year it seems harder to hold onto the Christmas spirit. This year I am just going to enjoy spending time with friends and family, all the food, and new starts of next year
and not do my usual obsession over trying to feel festive.
I'm off on my first Christmas outing - a few friends and I are off to the German market for mulled wine. I've never had any before, so it will be an experience.
We've got someone coming to look at the dresser this afternoon. It's been massively reduced to £200 and I refuse to go for a penny less. We've had cheeky people offering silly amounts (£40 for 4 solid oak dining chairs that are painted and waxed) but if it's pieces I'm fond of (and have the room for) then I'm turning them down as I'd much rather have something nice for the house. I'm terrible, I know.[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

Enjoy the German market feisty with your friends.
I don't blame you for turning down the silly prices - some people just try it on. I would say if you can't get a reasonable price and you have got room to use it, keep it for yourselves. In my opinion this makes sense anyway.
