Doh. I thought after I posted you probably did check, having clearly not dropped out of the sky last Tuesday etc....suffocate it with a pillow so it doesn't wake anyone up when I am horrified by how loud it is...
Bahahahahahahaaaa :rotfl:
Still haven't forgotten that one toy my cousin asked me to get out of its packaging for her. Took me about an hour, with 2 pairs of scissors, because the first pair weren't tough enough... by the time I freed it she'd of course lost all interest. I still don't know why it needed to be quite so thoroughly attached!0 -
Really good to get a look at the Xmas TV - one of my favourite traditions is getting the radio times at Xmas and sitting with a highlighter pen and marking all those xmassy films and specials that I want to watch!
Does anyone know when it's out this year? I'm guessing it won't be long I think the one in the shops at the minute goes up to dec 6th xx
Hi,
The Radio Times Christmas double issue is on sale on 9th December this year.0 -

Freespirit I am loving those photos
The sale went okay, just under £300 - but we have been with LOTS of stuff
I purchased all cards from cardfactory yesterday, but was really annoyed as they only had one terrible 'Nan' card - the rest were Nanna, Nanny or Grandma - I then had to go to Clintons and spend a small fortune on a card for nan and dh.
I thought I was being all wise and not taking any orders after the 1st December, turns out that I still have 20 to make before I can start to focus on our Christmas! Not too sure how that happened, but I will be thankful for the extra £130 it brings in as this will pay for all remaining pressies.
Still not too sure what we are going to do with the shop in all honesty. If I had my own way I'd close it now, but we have too much to store and no-where to store itI am really tempted to just put it all on ebay, we will get an eighth of what it is worth, but at least it will be gone.

I'm not sure what's going on with the shop and stock being new to the thread, but I'd be tempted to ebay the lot and get rid if it's causing you angst. Life is too short, and it's only "stuff". Maybe New Year, clean slate? :A0 -
nicki - your window decoration is absolutely fantastic :T
mrs mp - well done to dd3 on the book find.
Peppapig - many congratulations to you all on the new arrival.
JJ - hope you manage to get some assistance soon. Better to get things checked early. Take care. x
freespirit - love your tree, fireplace and nativity. All look gorgeous and christmassy.
CupOfChai - sounds as though you have had a lovely time over the weekend.
Nana - you have been very quiet. Hope you are just too busy to post. x
Not a very good shopping trip yesterday - hoping today is a better one. Did manage to get myself a nice jumper in M&S (£35 down to £17). I have also bought a hat - don't normally do hats but this one appealled to me - it was only a fiver so if I don't wear it too much ........... (thought it would be ok for bad hair days).Bought DS a onesie - he has mentioned them but not convinced he really would like one so I have got a gift receipt on that.
Really must go now and will try and catch up with you all later.

i know im so pleased, in the end ive paid £30 each for them including shipping, they might not get here till after christmas but its his birthdat early jan so if they come late they can do for that. having said that they were dispached yesterday so fingers crossed
freespirit love your deccys, your nativity looks lovely
ive got a fabric one i made years ago when the kids were little its was from family circle mag, i did say it was a bit past it now but the kids said thats part of christmas - the wonky donkey that kept falling over, the angel that looked like she was skydiving into the crib and the various other visitors the stable used to get - because it was fabric and unbreakable toys used to visit. you can imagine the look on the vicars face when he popped down to discuss something choirboy related with me and a small plastic barney the dinosaur was standing with mary. :rotfl:
feisty hope you get all your orders done in time and pleased the sale went well
pigpen - that is genius. all the plastic bits mine had and i never ones thought of doing that, we spent christmas morning taking it in turn to cut ties and assemble bits and you could guarantee one of the kids would try helped with stickers and something would go wrong or get lost.
have posted my 2 overseas cards now
going to spend the morning writing the ones that need posting and have some posting pressies to wrap. have told DS1 ill get them all ready today and do the post office run well walk really tomorrow so i can pick his exam certs up from his old college at the same time as ill be 2/3s the way there.
why oh why do they send out a letter with a stamp on saying your certs are ready to be collected during school hours and if anyone else collects them you need to give written authorization. they could have just sent the certs out.
DS says he is going to draw a big arrow on the letter with this is my mum she come to get my exam certs written on it then i should hold the letter with the arrow pointing at me.:rotfl:
hope you are all well:)

Morning, it's lovely to see all the trees and decorations. Ill try and post mine later.
I'm still trying to work through orders. I had planned to close my books on the 31st of October, so I could have all of Dec with my kids and enjoy it a bit. But I needed the money, so I was taking orders up to the 1st, I needed up with 15 orders that night alone. So looks like ill still be working through them for the next 2 weeks, but at least I can pay for my night out and a couple more pressies that I otherwise couldn't have afforded x:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
