mandco thank you Hun , is there any chance you can get a emergency/duty app or ask for a doc to call you back? Migraines are horrible , I'm gonna get the Micky mouse mega pack for goddaughter I think she's 7 months but loves noises/lights ect

I spoke to the doc and still no joy and as migraine isnt an emergency they wouldnt' do that either.

the mickey mouse mega pack is brilliant its huge and def great value

hope the journey home isn't too hard bet your mum cant wait to see you either

Thank you for the lovely wise words :)

My Christmas elves, I need your wisdom! Mil mentioned that she was after some plastic clips that attach to cooking pots and keep one side of the lid propped up to stop it boiling over. Apparently Lakeland used to sell these, but don't make them anymore. Does anyone know what these are called and where I can get them from? X

  • Those are exactly the type of thing, but they aren't the style she likes (typical) even plain ones would be better, but other than 'lid Sid' I don't know what they are called :( when I put in lid vent, or prop only the Sids come up

Hi guys (waves shamed faced from the sidelines) not really sure what has happened over the last few weeks, but have been rushed off feet, have just tried a catch up but too many pages.

Have now got most of pressies for my girls, and wrapped them (something that is unheard of in this house, normally we sit up until silly o'clock on xmas eve). Need to make a start on hubbies gifts, and get my mum sorted.

Other than that just bits and bobs to do.

Really excited about elf arrival on Sunday.

    Big hugs to all x

  • I had a look through the Black Friday deals this morning and there wasn't anything that was grabbing my attention today I must admit.

It's so nice to be able to think about Christmas again though, I had professional exams last week so for the last 3 weeks all of my spare time has been on revising and I have only just been able to keep up with this thread and living through you all by reading in bed :)

I even started wrapping yesterday as I wanted to do something Christmassy. Thank god I was mostly done before the exams, just have the last little bits and pieces to get and do my cards and the wrapping. Bring it on!! :snow_laug

Have PMed you . Thank you so much. :D

I am so glad I went out. The 4 phone calls were enough. He still had hope until the 4th goal. This was because his team went 3-0 down today but pulled it back and won 4-3. He scored twice so was very happy about that.

Well thanks to the generosity of pumpkin :D and a phone call to my cousins daughter 2 tasks will be done today.
My cousin is not going to London this year, but like everything else in her life she thinks if she doesn't mention it, it will go away.

So myself, dd and my cousins daughter are going up on the 15th. We take all the presents to my Gt Aunts in Borough and she distributes them from there. As it's not far from Southbank we can go to the Christmas Market. We will go to Lakeside first then on into London.

My cousins daughter (24) is so excited. Her grandparents moved out of London before her Mum was born, and her Mum doesn't know her way around. Whenever they go up there they only visit family and never really see any of London. She squealed when I asked her if she wanted to come as she knows I will take her somewhere she hasn't been before. :D

Sorry, just seen your message just now but have pm'd the code as it should still work today (expires 25th) x
