Gonna borrow this idea when mine are a little bit older. You would probably find tons of stuff in Poundland. I dont know how old your kids are but how about those pencils that become paints if you dunk them in water.

    Hi all,

Made a start on the girls' art hamper. Bought some scrapbooks, A4 plain jotters, huge pipe cleaners and some shreads of gold/metallic paper from the Range.

Finally, bought myself a decoration making set to keep me entertained at craft evenings with my bessie, now that I've finished my cards.

I'm going to go back and catch up with posts from this evening,
however Nanamia I should be out like a light with the meds I'm on!
I went away with my family as my dh had only been in his job for five months and without going into too much detail, he decided not to take a holiday. Well I came home and my dh had been given a weeks notice, there was nothing or any reason any discussion that this was going to happen
I know that there are many other members on this forum that have troubles, I am doing my best to stay positive, it's good to come here read everybody's news and forget life's problems
    Thank you Baby boo xxx

Nanamia - it was a scandanavian design set for £4.99 (I think it was called, can't find it online) you can use to make tree decorations and gift bags etc. We didn't end up doing anything apart from gossiping but I did give her lots of hamper ideas for her kids' pressies. (dvd night in boxes and breakfast hampers)

riskyb, my neices are 5 & 10. Sis said to just get them some squeezy paints etc. but I believe it is an Aunty's job to buy the messiest/noisiest presents so this year I'm obviously going for messy ;)

LoobyLou I've enjoyed reading through your blog, so another thank you to Mrs M
Pinksteps he really is a credit, one of the bright stars on here for sure xxx
his missus sounds like fun. A few years ago BFF and I got together on a Tuesday to 'craft' but mainly gossip :) It's not really doable now so and hour on the phone every night has to do. I totally agree with an Aunties role, it works for Nanas too xxx

I'm off there on thursday! Must dig out a Christmas jumper and hubby's Christmas t shirt for him to wear (if he wants to come, he has to be festive!). Anyone else going on Thursday?

RUTHHONEY have a lovely time we want to hear all about it
Re Christmas dinner, when my three were smallies, my dh was in the merchant navy and usually absent on all important occasions (you know, present at the conception but absent at births and early morning feeds and teething) so I used to do Christmas pud on Christmas day so that I had time to spend with them all day, and made Christmas dinner on boxing day, as Christmas eve was a busy day full of excitement and fun things, like last emergency visit to santa and the crib service. It also extended Christmas for an extra day.
Nana Hugs to you and your friend, also b-e-g to you and yours.
Feisty, (here I have sat and looked at this screen unable to put into words how I feel for you, I was so sure it was the right thing for you both to do, I hope that the ideas you have been given work and this time next year you are telling a better tale) keep your chin up honey, more than hugs to you and DH.
Baby boo so sorry that you came home to rotten news, l hope something turns up for dh soon.
Junior j glad you are back, good news from your tribunal, (dear lord, what a society we live in when l am saying it is good news that you are ill enough to qualify for esa support group!) but you know what l mean.xxx
Now, my mse type news, the wrinklies Christmas fair has been cancelled, but my lovely friend (the one whose house we decorated) has taken samples of the items l made to show her friends and clients -she is a mobile beauty therapist- and has not only sold all l had made, but has got me loads of orders for more!
Off to York tomorrow, only packing toothbrush knickers and nighty so l will have room in my case for a lot more s-h-o-p-p-I-n-g-. Now where is the coffee xxxxxx

Lovely hearing about your christmases MRSINVISIBLE, fab news about selling all your crafts especially after the fair being cancelled, i bet you are really chuffed. Have a great time in York, and successful shopping vibes coming your way

NANAMIA hope you are having a good day today
OMO hope you havent gone down with anything before your lovely trip, and that everything is ok
