  • Afternoon everyone,

NANAMIA i rang drs but they dont go up to date i asked for yet i have to call back next week :rotfl:ive sat here all morning working myself up to do it now have to do it again next week! Better staying the same than putting on :) glad you had a lovely time with DGD2, i hope DH is feeling better today and that the sleep did him good. I must take my nail varnish off today DD did a beautiful job for the graduation but they are a bit tatty now (i am useless). My girls have been to see Swan Lake they really enjoyed it, hope you have a lovely lovely time with your BFF. Oh NANA your poor DSs friend, that is so sad, he must be so shocked, and overwhelmed by it all. Sending lots of healing vibes and he is in my thoughts and prayers, i hope they can do something for him xx
BABYBOO im glad you had a lovely few days away you deserve it, but what awful news to come back to, of course you are very scared and upset, and poor DH must be feeling very hurt and let down, i really hope he finds another job as soon as possible, both of you keep your chin up in the meantime xx
MRSCHRISTMAS im sure you are the real Mrs Christmas, i bet your bathroom looks so lovely and christmassy, are you pleased with it? xx
NIC sending you hugs my lovely, this woman does not deserve any more of your time or energy, they sap you with their negativity and nastiness and now her daughter is copying her and will grow into the same kind of person, dont let her get to you or upset you anymore, just show her you really arent bothered and do not need her friendship, i know it will be hard having to travel to competitions etc but there must be other mums you could sit with, i hope DD isnt too upset by the hurtful actions of this girl xx
PINKSTEPS aah a photo of Teddy that has cheered me up no end xx
CHRISSYG that is a fab idea for DD it will help her with her confidence having you there then as you say perhaps later on she might feel able to do a few shifts on her own, hope the shop says yes xx
BLUEEYEDGIRL aah hope your friend gets better soon xx
MORGY glad the volunteering is going well, even though its tiring for you, dont stress about the weight when you feel better you will get back into it im sure, good luck at the tabletop sale xx

  • Thank you all for your kind words. We already renting space to other sellers, but it brings in only a fifth of the rent :(

Feisty I can only echo what other lovelies have said about publicising your business handing out leaflets and posters , putting posters in windows. , plastering it over Facebook and twitter and craft blogs!

You could also choose one of your products and do a competition like. "Like and share to be in with a chance of winning X item" ect , can u send me the Facebook link and I will try to get your more followers, do you sell via Facebook ect? Sorry if you've answered all my questions previously my brain is like a sieve

Started to get nervous about my tribunal , my mums going with me for suoport!

nic . Sorry you have to put up with such immature people! Big hugs , I would try to remain normal and unaffected in front of her , she. Probably likes a reaction , as for your Dd try to encourage her to sit with people who. Have time for her and if huffys. Dd dies speak to her nicely then your dd can start taking to her again ,

chrissy g that's a good idea for your Dd hope it goes well and it would be great for her to have some independence

Thank you lovely ladies for the helpful words. I was feeling a bit sorry for myself this morning. It's just hard as the 3 girls are the only ones at that age group and level. So they get called up in class in 3's, warm up in 3's etc. similar happened a couple of months back. The mum was annoyed that me and another mum took our DD's to the school dance camp. She was invited but didn't want to go. So she fell out with me and the other mum for joining in. She didnt speak to us for a few weeks. I finally backed down and asked what was wrong, and she blamed my daughter for ignoring hers!
My dd is the sweetest, quietest girl going. Often too quiet. But she goes out her way to be friendly and caring.
I hate confrontation and ill feeling. But you are all right, I know it's her issue and she needs to grow up. It's just a struggle to deal with her all the time.

Fiesty is there a way on negotiating on the rent? Surely they would rather have it filled than see you leave and it be empty? Are there other possible premises you could move to? X

Does it freeze well? I need to make a start on filling the freezer with goodies. I'm always worried about what freezes ok and what doesn't. Plus I need to eat more of what's in my freezer first so I can fill it up again :)

NIC i hate confrontation as well and always try to avoid it, she really is a poisonous person, blaming your DD as well!!! I know its hard but these sort of people tend to back down when they know you will not put up with it anymore. Also i meant to put in last post will be thinking of you lots on Friday, of course it is a horrible time for you, and she should realise this too.

Although i have made this before i havent ever frozen it but in Nigellas christmas book she puts against every recipe about freezing and she says its fine, just take out and defrost in fridge overnight is her advice. I dont know much about freezing either i either have to google it or use recipe books that tell you whether it can or cant be frozen :)

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi all,

Made a start on the girls' art hamper. Bought some scrapbooks, A4 plain jotters, huge pipe cleaners and some shreads of gold/metallic paper from the Range.

Also bought a small "decorate a pirate" set - just some pirate shaped card cutouts, paper, googly eyes etc... was only £1 and will be perfect as a gift for a friend's son who is pirate mad. He'll be more than happy with the gift (she's brought him up well and he appreciates any gift however small/cheap) and she can't complain about us spending too much money on him either (i think she's worried about not being able to "afford" Xmas this year)

Finally, bought myself a decoration making set to keep me entertained at craft evenings with my bessie, now that I've finished my cards.
