No advent boxes in Disney store yesterday and I'm not a fan of on line shopping. My friend highly recommended the slushy maker cup she says you put the cup in the freezer for so many hours then pour your drink in squeeze it snd it turns into a slushie.
It was going to be a present from smartie elfkins but at £13 I think it can wait until Christmas.
Wuvvie I was horrid to my mum at that age I just couldn't see her point and thought her whole purpose in life was to ruin mine just be consistent as if she gave an inch I'd push more sorry not much help but it does come good in the end.
The slushie cups are on offer on amazon at the moment - there is a link on the amazon thread on the grabbit board0 -
I popped into town today to get the free hand cream at the Body shop through the vouchercodes app but it had disappeared off the app by the time I got there, so left disappointed.
Had to pop into primark and pick up a Christmas t shirt, and change my Boots points for the Christmas magazine to cheer myself up!
So that's tonight's reading sorted.

Really chuffed been in work all day but managed to pick up a couple of stockingfillers/ christmas eve hamper bits moshi toothbrushes with keyrings for the two dd who are moshi mad. An angry birds flannel in HB for DD4 and a jar of gold marmite for DS for 1.99 in B&M he loves the stuff.
Plan for the week between work is to sort out what presents I have bought , make a spreadsheet and work out what I need to get as well.0 -
Ruth_honey - if you want Christmassy tea, try my namesake. Chai tea is gorgeous, spiced with cinnamon and other such things so I think it does taste rather Christmassy. You can get teabags of it in any supermarket, drink with plenty of milk in.
I went shopping today, not really any Christmas just upcoming birthday things for OH's family. I still looked though, and got two Winter Wonderland bars, wheee!0 -
Mega quick post -
Hugs to everyone-especially Junior J
happy Birthday!
Glad everyone else is getting on with their Christmas bits and pieces- I love reading what everyone's found!
Noticed in B&M a wooden reindeer advent calendar-shaped bit like a rocking horse - Didnt think to take a closer look or take a picky but it was £4.99 so if anyone is after something like that (and has more time than I did this morning) perhaps they could take and post a picky. If I go in later in the week when I am not so rushed I will post more info. It was with the Christmas sweets and the 'doors' were little wooden drawers.
OMO- my task was to wrap 3 advent calendars worth- 75 pressies!!!! DONE! (and 3 Christmas cards made)
Freespirit- I know what you mean about pinterest- I have to keep weeding mine out too:D
Nanamia-hope your decorating is looking 'simply fabulous darling!!'
Take care everyone xxxlovin' this site!

I am going to mount Greenleaf :rotfl:
That doesn't sound good does it :rotfl:
I have dug an old broken frame out of the loft and mended it. Tomorrow I am going to spray the frame and backing board white and mount Greenleaf on it.
This is it now.
Tomorrow I'll post a picture of it finished.0 -
Evening all
its amazing how many of you have been through similar with your children. still heard nothing from her. although this is and will be the number 1 thing on my mind i now have to focus.i got a letter today telling me to go in for pre op so will be having surgery very soon. so i made some decisions. i have bought all the christmas eve bag stuff for my little boy and have bought an extra selection pack if she arrives back. i now have the stocking stuff to do. he is at a party next weekend for three hours and i will be doing the whole of the stocking stuff that day and then i will be on operation wrap. im not doing my daughter a stocking as i can always get a few bits together if i need to. im going to concentrate on my boy. i need to be ready so that im not stressed at not being able to do it. i will love and cherish every single wrap but if my husband has to do it it will be a chore. im going to get focussed and get on. it will also give me more to think about. so...
i have a new notebook and the christmas eve bag consists of new pjs new dressing gown selection pack some sweeties and a dvd.
i also bought the christmas magazine today. although not opened as tonight i have a headache and want to savour and enjoy every minute.
thanks again all for your support. i feel i can say it all without being judged. there is something easy about not seeing all your faces!! i just say it. i will keep you all posted.0 -

I've seen chai in the supermarkets but never looked at what it was. Sounds lovely! I might have to do some pre Christmas tasting to find the best teas/coffees/chocs. Would be nice to add to my pots of Christmas too. Small, good price and won't go off quickly. :TCross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
