I have had everyone looking out for the green and red striped ones as I wanted them for my Snowman soup so picked up 2 boxes:D:D:D

Nic – That’s whatI’m going to do this year, probably at the beginning of December. Wrappingreally early doesn’t work for me because I have to keep opening things to checkexactly what’s in there (even though I keep a list of all the pressies). Btw, have you just not updated your signatureor is SW really not working for you? ;)

OMO – must admitI don’t really ‘get’ the whole Pinterest thing although it does seem popularwith loads of people so it’s probably me. I'll have a look at your page and see what happens :D.

Happy Birthday Spendlessand Whitesatin – enjoy!

Junior-J – so sorryto hear you’re still in hospital and being subjected to all those horriblethings. I love the way you keep yourspirits up with Christmas things and don’t worry about forgetting what you’veread – I do that every time I try and catch up which is why I don’t post verymuch, it’s not that I’m not interested I can just never keep track of who saidwhat and what all the other lovelies on here have replied. Having said that, Wuvvies I can only echo what everyone else has said – I had asimilar-ish situation with DD1 but I did what has been suggested here and shesoon made her own decision to come home – hang on in there.

Nana – hope thedecorating is going well. I loveredecorating although these days I prefer deciding what needs to happen andthen getting someone else to actually do the work.

Well I finally bit the bullet and sorted out my Christmascupboard and the loft. The CC looks goodnow with everything put away tidily and a list made of what’s in there and whoit’s for along with what I still need to get. :TThe loft looks good too with hardly anything up there (compared to whatwas there before anyway). :TMy lounge andhallway not so much. :rotfl:Still sorting out storage for what I want to keep, plushave two big boxes of goodies for the charity shop plus another one forpossible ebay items. I keep tellingmyself this is the worst bit and once I get everything that’s staying packedaway and the ebay stuff listed and pay another visit to the charity shop thenpeace will be restored.

Feeling very festive at the moment and have even managed to plant up my ‘winter’ boxes in the front garden.

87 days, 12 hours and 36 minutes until Christmas :j:j:j
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Peppapig I admit I didn't really get it, but yesterday I was looking through and saw a wreath I wanted to make. So I made a page. I just look at other peoples pages and save ( pin ) things I would like to make or like the look of.
It's just like having a craft scrapbook on-line. It can get a bit repedative but once you have got some things saved, you can look at things other people who also saved it looked at. They tend to be similar things so the chances are they more your taste.

I hope that made sense, dd hasn't stopped rabbiting this morning and I can't concentrate. :D

I did try to catch up but after reading four pages I kept forgotting what I had just read l0l still in here :( day 17 or 18 I think and this morning I had the pleasure of having my skull drilled (whilst awake) under local anaesthetic and a monitor put in! I have been connected to three machines all day all of which are not giving many answers! Headaches still bad but surgeon convinced shunt working fine .. That's 8 brain surgeries I have had now! In 18 months!

    Anyways

Still working on gift ideas! Which is always fun lol! Takes my mind of things like the big tube hanging out my head!

Not sure what to buy my mum this year as did want to get her a laptop but don't think think money will allow and shes on about getting herself a laptop lol!

She is single mid fifties and not overly crafty not into cookin and doesn't have many hobbies! I make her sound boring lol! She is my best friend lol are to describe!

Well done on all your finds!

I m sure I have tons of wrapping paper hidden in loft but always go out and buy more lol its a never ending stock of paper and tags and the likes!

Oh junior, you poor love :( I really do hope you start to improve, very, very soon! x
I have finished task 3 on my list and got all the change into notes for DN and DNs money wallets, they are now all written out and sealed, just need to write my cards tomorrow not at all hard less than 10 i think haha i am another one with only one dear friend and she lives in Devon now so we only see each other once a year, i also bought dark green card to make the cone for my sweet tree (i hope it works) tomorrow i am going to read my xmas mag as havent even opened it yet.

Oh god WUVVIES my other daughter DD1 did the same thing, turned 16 was all set to go in the sixth form then into the RAF, then right before her exams she met this boy, at first he seemed ok but then he turned into some headcase, DD gave up the going into the RAF she argued about everything wouldnt take any advice, boyfriend knew it all, i got so sick of it i banned him from our house, she still saw him for another few months but then she began to see what he was like and finished with him (so there is hope yet :)) i have never had any trouble with her since. I know kids really do bring you to the end of your tether, and i also would not have put up with her scraping the dinner into the bin, its disrespectful. Sending you lots of hugs, i know it can be an awful time, but you will come through it

I did feel like that last night i must admit, as i have over 2000 pins  i did have a moment 'what the hell am i doing? am i really going to make half of this' :rotfl:

Ooh FEISTY im so intrigued at what you have made i have all sorts of images going on in my head :rotfl:
REBELHEDGEHOG my favourite xmas mag is the xmas Good Food one, i am going to have to stop myself this year, and just get a few not every flipping one, they are too expensive
NIC i love doing that when i buy the xmas tv guide, i have to be on my own no one around, baileys or hot choc, mince pie and circle to my hearts content (SAD) :rotfl:
JUNIORJ my god girl you have been through it, you are so inspiring, i cant believe after all that and you are sitting typing on a laptop, honestly i cannot believe how brave you are, i really hope they find whats wrong this time for you my lovely

It's a tattoo style skull and scroll with roses, blood splatter and his vowels to her written on the scroll - The idea is definitely my style, but in my opinion it looks a little tacky :embarasse

    :rotfl:

  • Happy birthday spendless and whitesatin!

Well I plan to get on with those lists today :) Will also get some more presents wrapped ;)

We went and signed up for a card at our local Makro (cash and carry type place) and have to say after a mooch about, I wasn't impressed. Their tins of celebrations etc were over £7! More once you include the VAT!

Have also just found out that I need to update my driving license to show married name - I work under my maiden name and so thought it would be fine, apparently not :(

  • I use Pinterest to search for ideas, especially around parties and food. Search for 'Christmas Party Ideas' or 'Christmas Party Food' (and then, if you're anything like me, lose several hours of your life :rotfl:)
  • Good morning everyone. I'm in work but its a bit quiet so I thought I'd use to time to come on here :). I had a good outing to Primark on Tuesday. Bought Christmas pyjamas for both DD's and two lovely Christmas fleece blankets for the living room. I've also ordered some lovely Yankee Candles that were on offer so I can't wait for them to arrive. I've also bought quite a few of the girls presents from Argos as the 3 for 2 is on. I'm also looking at taking them to Peppa Pig world in December for the Christmas event. Anyone ever been? xx
  • Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere as not had a chance to catch up yet!!

Just picked up 3 Moshi Monster Books in HB for 49p each. Wasn't sure if these were a bargain but having just got back from ASDA i noticed they were in sale there for 3:85 each or 2 for £5 so either way still a bargain in my books.

    Hi,

I'm new to this thread and I love read through it. Firstly we have taken our little girl to Peppa Pig world a few times this year and she loves it, would like to take her again at Christmas.

I love the build up to Christmas and I think I started organising and making lists back in the summer. My family and husband think Im mad.

When I recover from this awful virus we have all had since Monday Im hoping to go food shopping and pick up some extras to stash away and pop into town. Anyone know if they got any cheesy christmas jumpers in for little ones?.
