I have written thecards that need posted, and written th post by dates and have found the little novelties that go in the cards to friends I don't buy presents for, this year it is a flat, colourful wooden tree ornament shaped like either a snowflake or a sleigh, and the cards are in the box with them all ready. The ironing is groaning at me and the hoover is sulking, it doesn't know why I have fallen out with it. I have dead headed the winter primroses and the cyclamen, can't book the craft week break yet, and have sent the parcel of returns to amazon, but my enthusiasm has just dropped out of sight.
I will go and visit my lovely sil and bro, take them their winter flower tub. that will cheer us both up. Back soon xxx

It is £12.99. I saw it there yesterday and was amazed it wasn't more expensive, as things there normally are.
I just went online to look for one similar and found the above which is exactly the same one, only it's £16.99
The Garden Centre is a Parker's, just incase anyone has one near them.
Aah thats lovely, i love gingerbread men tooCrowdpleaser wrote: »I love gingerbread men stuff too! Its so cool!
Ok, Im going to do a little squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee now. Its sort of Christmas related.
Ok, so we put our diddy 2 up 2 down on the market in July, it sold within 2 days. We had an offer accepted on a 4 bed detatched 2 days later. Our buyer was a complete pain, constantly on at the estate agent to get things moving. I mean we were keen but she was a pain. Anyway, the detatched had an offer accepted etc. Anyway, there was then 4 in the chain and the 5th was being a pain, couldn't find anywhere but refused to vacate. We are starting to get annoyed. Then, 3 weeks ago our pain the butt buyer pulled out. We were gutted. Anyway, back on market next day and sold for asking to lovely family (we actually had 3 viewings and all 3 offered). Still nowt from numer 5 in the chain. Anyway, DH rang estate agent today.... and...... our chain is now complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Am trying not to get too giddy and DH not nosy enough and didn't find out what the actual situation is but at least we are complete! And the estate agent( taking with pinch of salt as has lied the whole way though) said we could be eating Christmas dinner in our new place!!!!!
I am sooooo thrilled as this will be the girls first year at home rather than at family (apart from dd1 first xmas which was in a an incubator so that doesn't count!) and I would just love it to be in the new house with lots of space for them and all their stuff!!!!
WOOOOOOOHHHHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic news Crowdpleaser!! so happy for you!
Well, having given in to one item on QVC, I figured I might as well go the whole hog and went to S'bugs .. I got the Reindeer Droppings beer for OH's stocking, also got Phileous Fogg Indonesian whatever they are which are on BOGOF - one for now and one for January store cupboard, Cadburys have some new bagged Dairy Milk things that look a bit like mini eggs called Pebbles? they are £1 introductory offer so got those for Chrsitmas cupboard, Basics teabags for Jan store along with sweet biscuits and crackers and Melba toast for CC - also found the Green and Blacks cocoa tin for £1.75 which was 20% off so got that for BFF's CE hamper ... oh and Walkers Tiger Nuts (!) for CC for £1 ... ok I must stop now!
Got order today from Am@zon for American pancake mix 2 boxes (they never taste quite the same when I make them myself!) and one was damaged and leaking, they were brilliant and are sending me out 2 more boxes today and said to keep the originals for the inconveneince which I thought was great! I use them so much and can't remember the last time I had any issue, so good to know how great their customer service is!0 -
How about a tin of Haggis? Gants produce a tin that is not at all bad (if you can't have fresh, which, if you want to pack and wrap wouldn't be suitable). I, personally, can't stand haggis, but an awful lot of people love it.
And then there's oatcakes which go a treat with any of the Arran Cheeses.
Or were you just wanting sweet treats ?[/QUOTE
I like haggis and will definitely give it a go. When I was in Glasgow earlier this year, I had haggis pakoras in an Indian restaurant. Scrummy actually.
There are oatcakes, of course, not sure if the Arran cheese would keep long enough from beginning of November till Christmas Day if I bought it up there.
Not just thinking of sweet treats, happy to go with anything Scottish as a theme. Thanks.0 -
whitesatin - i was in sainsburys today and they had small chocolate scottie dogs in a little plastic case. i noticed them because i have a westie named haggis, so usually like to get westie/scottie themed bits for xmas.
Oh, they sound nice. We have a Sainsburys nearby but can't get there till the weekend but will definitely take a look, thanks.0 -
snugglebunny8 - he waits until his feet or belly are being examined and then he lets it flow, like a girl dog. he knows what he is doing as well because he always looks at me gimlet eyed. so anyway, the vet has to wash his hands and clean off the table

I wish I had gone shopping. I can't believe how bored I have been today. I expect it was because I hadn't planned on being here.
Apart from doing 4 wash loads and watching The Blind Side I have done nothing .:(0 -

Okay...sold!! Is this in the shops already by any chance?
I hope B*ots have their Christmas gifts out tomorrow when I go in there... I have already started to write a list of which gifts I'd like to get from their range. Has anyone seen the gifts in their local B*ots yet?
I have my Christmas shopping outfit all planned for tomorrow already ..sad I know! But I have booked a day off work for it and I'm quite excited!
I shall write my shopping list after dinner0 -

Im so bl**dy fed up, i have so been looking forward to this all year (and i dont like any sort of social gathering, it makes me ill with anxiety) grrr
JUNIORJ im so sorry my lovely you have been so upset, i have dealt with horrible rude consultants before and i was too scared to say anything back, and went home crying (appt was for DD2) but when i got home i got angry and i did make a formal complaint some people are not meant to be in the caring profession. Keep your chin up
BUNBUN please dont feel your problems are not important enough, everyones are different, and i dont think there is one person on this thread who would think otherwise
KAYA hello and welcome to our lovely thread

Do they not allow you to book extras?
At my uni everyone was allowed 2 guest but then could apply for extra tickets. Made it fair so everyone could have two, then leftover tickets were distributed around those who applied for error. Don't know anyone that didn't get their extras0 -
Crowdpleaser wrote: »Sequeena im sorry life seems so hard at the moment. Thomas is lucky to have you. Dd1 had no major issues but she was born at 27 weeks and I went thru quite s bit of the why me stuff. I felt like no one really understood. Luckily I msde a great friend in scbu who was very like me so we muddled along together. Final straw came when a friend had just had a baby well 3 months old by then and she priceeded to tell me how lucky I had been to have s preemie so I could leave it in hospital and get some sleep. Same friend shouted urgh disgusting when we were in a coffee shop and dd1 projectiled across the shop due to her terrible reflux. Needless to say I ended the friendship. Big hugs and stay strong lovely.
Dd1 still off school today although absolutely fine. Grrr. Have a reservation at argos so will drag her down to get that and mske her not look. Lol.
Xxx
Definitely a 'friend' you can do without
Hope you managed to get the argos items home without her peekingMorning-hugs to everyone xxx
Sequeena-I cant think of anything to say that hasn't already been said in very eloquent and heartfelt ways. I hope that you will start to get some positive answers from your health professionals soon and that you will begin to feel a little brighter.
Freespirit-bummer that your DS is ill so soon after starting his new job-hope he gets better soon.
Crowpleaser- why is it that we always have stuff planned FOR the kids then they fall are ill?? Hope your DD1 is better soon.
Junior J- fingers crossed for today- those pj's sound lovely!
OMO- what a beautiful thing your dad said- brought tears to my eyes.
Fingers crossed that today is a better day for everyone-despite the fog xxx
Right - as I am driving again now I'm off now to the vets with cat for his yearly booster-IF I can get him into the cat basket!!
The thought of you trying to wrestle the cat into the basket has really made me chuckle :rotfl:Snugglebunny8 wrote: »oh have fun! Ive got two and theirs due next week, Im taking them seperately this time though as such a struggle getting them both into baskets, in and out the car etc, and the chubby one gets little attention as she creeps out on her belly, lies down pitifully on the scales, winces and then crawls back in the basket shaking like a jelly (we usually have 30 seconds about her weight, though shes on a diet, doesnt eat anything else, we play with her all the time to get her active - think her metabolism stopped when she was spayed)
... whereas the other one explodes out the basket, hisses, spits, growls and snarls at the vet .. and the extra vet who has to come in to help control her ... tries to amputate the hands of anyone who goes near her while they examine her and give her the jab ... if only they could see the smug little madam at home an hour later purring across my lap on her back like butter wouldnt melt! :rotfl::cool: they have her labelled as 'vicious' but she is only like that with the vet, she is only little and gets aggressive when she feels threatened as I think its the only way she knows, something happened to them both when they were tine I think as they are rescue cats
I SO do not look forward to the trip every year!
I have two tiny chihuahuas that look like butter wouldn't melt. When we get to the vets the older one starts shaking uncontrollably, weeing whenever you go near her and pooping just as we leave - she acts so scared that the vet actually questioned us as to why she was so nervous around humans  The younger one projectile vomits everywhere too  Not a good array of body functions to gift the poor vet with.2024 Challenges
